Thanks for the welcome teamies! We are going to rock this!! I really appreciate the advice about getting in some workout at lunch. I will definitley give it a shot. Also thinking I need to get up earlier and take work clothes to the gym and go to work from there. I'm lucky (not so much organized) that my kids are very independent and get their selves going on the days I work.

Welcome to the team, I just joined last month. It helps to have challenges but don't beat yourself up if life gets in the way of completing them. Wow 6 kids, I thought having 4 was hectic, I bet you are organized. Is it possible for you to do some kind of exercise on your lunch break. My brother started doing that a few years back and he lost 30lbs and is keeping it off.(he also stopped doing mcdonalds for lunch, I'm sure that played a role in his weight loss as well). It just seems like if you got it done before you got home it would be a relief. I thought my day was long. When I get home I don't even sit down, I change into workout clothes and go because I know if I sit I'm done for. Well...welcome again and glad you are a part of our team! emoticon

Welcome to the team and it's great to see you jump in with both feet! Let's kick some butt this Turkey month.

Hi all! I'm mckinnen; married mother of 6; Unit clerk at Children's Hospital ICU. I work 9am-9pm 3 days a week. On the days I'm not working I have no problem going to the gym. I usually go early and feel great the whole day. On days I work I can't go early b/c I commute to work via the bus and that already takes 2 hours. I can't afford not to workout on the days I work so I have to go after I get off. I'm usually not ready for bed when I get home and my family makes sure that all chores are done by the time I arrive home so that's not an issue. What is, is I just feel like doing nothing which is normal but I need to work out at least 5 days per week which boils down to having to workout after work. Once I get there it's no problem; its just the getting there... but now I'm here and glad to have a team commited to the challenge.
