Hi! I'm Lori and I'm ready to start the 100 pushups challenge! I have started it (sort of) a couple times in the last 2 years, but never really got past the initial test. I am a mom of two great kids and I know I've not set the right example for them in the past year or so. Life gets crazy and I'm still learning how to balance being a single parent, work full-time (for the first time in almost 9 years) and be healthy.
So, Mighty Hundreds friends, I need accountability and some tough love at times. I am going to reach my goal this summer because I will stick to this. The pushups challenge fascinates me because others don't think I can/will do it. That's precisely what motivated me when I started running a couple years ago. And ya know what? I ran 2 half marathons in 2010, completed a warrior dash in 2011 and gained confidence in myself. My running is on hiatus right now since my childcare options are limited, but that will work itself out. I have videos, a treadmill, weights and a jump rope. I can do this. Test day is Tuesday and program starts Wednesday!! I am SO ready to take control of my life again. No more "eat what isn't nailed down" diet, no more lazing around instead of being healthy and a good example for my kids.
