I long to accomplish a great and noble task, but it is my chief duty to accomplish humble tasks as though they were great and noble. The world is moved along not only by the mighty shoves of its heroes but also by the aggregate of the tiny pushes of each honest worker.

Welcome to the team!
Running is very rewarding. Take your time and don't get frustrated. You will have good days and bad days. Just don't give up! Good music also helps with running.
I had not heard of the C25K, so I looked it up. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. This is something I would like to try, too.

Hi Stephani. The C25K is a great program to get you started. I think the mistake a lot of people make is that they try to push too fast too soon thinking they need to go faster or longer. That will get you injured or burnt out faster than anything. Just follow the program and be patient with yourself. Running is one of those things that grows on you. Congratulations for going about it the smart way and hang in there. Good luck to you.
Hi there! My name is Stephani and I'm new here. I am currently trying to lose weight by eating healthy and running. I am doing the C25K program (week 1). So far I'm not loving running but I am hoping that if I stick with it, I will learn to. I would prefer to run outside but I am starting with a treadmill bc I'm in TX...it was 106 degrees here yesterday.
Any tips or tricks to getting started? I know one of (if not THE) the most important things is the shoes. I have good shoes...I was fitted for them at a running store.
I look forward to embarking on this journey with all of you!
