First off, giving yourself and your marriage the gift of a healthier you. It's the gift that keeps on giving. Always best to start slow and let your body acclimate to the new activity. Recently came across two great movies that have inspired me to clean up my eating: "Foodmatters" and "Fat, sick & nearly dead." with both journeys because if done well both should last a long time :)

Hello everyone! My name is Heidi. I am 31 and the mother of a 12 year old son, Preston and a 5 year old daughter, Emma. I am also getting married to my best friend, Billy in August. I am looking to loose about 30 pounds. I am not active at all right now but just got my treadmill back from my moms house and am going to start out by walking atleast 1 mile a day. I sit at a desk all day at work and have a 45 minute drive to and from work so I do alot of sitting. Hoping this works and hoping to get to know some of you and start this journey to a healthy and fit life.
Imagine that day, where you can finally say, "I did it!" When you can say, "I never gave up, I never quit!" Imagine that day when you win that gold medal, or reach your goal weight. Where these moments of pain turn into memories for that goal you wanted to obtain. It might take long to reach that moment, but as soon as you get there you'll thank yourself for THE REST OF YOUR LIFE.
