Sorry to hear about your difficulties. You didn't mention how long you have been back at it...but if it has been a while maybe changing up your work out will help? Something that helped me kick start when I felt stuck was switching my eating to Clean Eating. It is not always easy, but with time I feel amazing and it re-started my weight loss and has helped me to slowly keep going. Tosca Reno has some great books that are easy reads and include recipes. There are also a couple clean eating spark teams if you are interested in learning more.

Best wishes as you work toward your goals. I hope you find what works for you!

emoticon Welcome! Congrats on your great weight loss over the years and don't give up! I know what it feels like to lose one's career, as I lost mine last August and it is an emotional hit -- no doubt about it. But, in so many ways, it can be a wake up call to fight back in other areas of our lives, and one being healthier and happier. You're doing great by going to the gym and working out while watching your diet--how about switching your exercises or intensity training on certain days, or watching your sugar intake which, to me, made a big difference. Those sugar highs can make a person come down fast and that's the last thing we want to feel in order to help keep our spirits and energy up.

emoticon and I wish you all the best!

In 2007 I made a goal to lose 50 lbs in 50 weeks for my 50th birthday. I lost 60 and felt great. Continued to lose in 2008 for a total of 80 lbs. I maintained my weight while getting fit, working out at the gym 4-5 times a week. In 2009 I was downsized after a 20 year career. I was down, stressed, angry and depressed for over 18 months. I slowly have been gaining weight. Now with 20 lbs up I need to shake up my metabolism and get this weight off. Have been back to the gym and watching my food intake again. But have not noticed any weight loss. So am reaching out for some new ideas on how I can get this weight off and feel good again.
