Find activities that feel good to you...that's the most important thing! If you can't afford to join a fitness center just get out for walks and try pushing yourself to see if you can speed up and do walks in less time. There are LOTS of workout videos with Coach Nicole on SparkPeople that you can follow for free.
When it comes to pounds there isn't anything that works as well as the nutrition tracker and taking greater care in your food choices. I like to douse my hunger with lots of WATER too!

Im 30 years old, and I have been stressed to the hilt since I relocated and changed careers. As a result of the stress and newly busied schedule I have gained weight and acquired some not so good habits. I am trying to shift gears and this seems like a place to begin. Any advice from those who have been using sparkpeople for a while? Any tips on things locally (eg. classes, nice parks, rec activities, social settings that arent too tense) for a newbie?
