The time adds on as you enter it (sometimes you have to refresh your page) so it doesn't matter what time zone you are in and you can go and enter time for previous days that you've worked out. You'll definitely see you "This Year:" total change. In the right hand column there is a box "MY SPARKAMERICA FITNESS MINUTES" You will see the "This Week:" numbers change for each strength training exercise you enter (5 minutes per exercise) or minutes of cardio performed for today. You also earn sparkpoints for each ST exercise done. There used to be a report of the exercises if you clicked on the number underlined to the right of "This Year:" but I see that has changed.

In "Reports" (go to MY TOOLS, then REPORTS), you can view how many fitness minutes you've earned for each day. Run "Fitness Minutes Over Time", change the from/to days to get a report for a single day.

Glad I could help you!

Great to hear from you, thank you. Maybe you could help me with another problem. Today for the first time, I have done the strenght exercises and it is showing the exercise as 70 min. But in other places I am not too sure that the time has been added on. Maybe it is because we are many hours ahead of you and it will only be done when the computer software close down for the day? Do you know?

I've used a polar watch for checking on calories burned. It's pretty close to what my treadmill says but I rather like to use it for times that I'm doing physical activities (like digging gardens) or when I'm on vacation and walking the trails to calculate my caloric expenditure. I understand the watch is somewhat accurate and cheaper than some other, more accurate alternatives. It includes a chest strap that I wasn't sure I'd like but was pleasantly surprised that it's not a problem for me.

Thank you for your comment, it is most useful. My birthday is in October so on my wish list is a heart rate monitor to use during all exercises. The monitor with the Tunturi Eliptical Trainer is not very accurate, since the calories burned when I am working out at 80% max heart rate and just a slow walk is not that different to each other.

Thank you, this is very helpful. I dont know how many calories I am burning during exercise. I would like to buy a heart rate monitor and watch. I have a heart rate monitor for the eliptical trainer but the calories burned is more or less the same, irrespecive if I excerise at 80% of my max heartrate or just doing a slow walk. It is clearly not person specific.

Whenever I change the amount of calories I want to burn each week, Sparks automatically changes my nutrition tracker to reflect a healthy caloric intake so your body doesn't go into starvation mode. Check your settings in the fitness tracker - specifically the amount of calories you want to burn each week.

What does your Fittness tracker have for you today? Do you have to burn more calories, is your workout more difficult or harder? Maybe the difference is to make sure that you have the needed calories for a different workout but still enough to lose weight.

Why did my allowable calorie intake jump from 1500 to over 2050? Is it based on week average? I started on just over 1500 Calories.
