hello angela. i once weighed about 230. i,m only 5ft4. i started walking outside and on my treadmill. i kept track of my walking. i walked 1000 miles in one year. i could do better now but i,m still proud of that accomplishment. i walked outside as fast as i could. i cant run very well. on the treadmill i went about 3.5 speed. i drank religiously 6 cups of green tea every day. i dont like it hot so i make it the night before. i bring 48 ounces of water with 6 tea bags just to a boil and leave it until morning. i remove the teabags and add my sweet-n-low. i also took apple cider vinegar tablets AND chromium. all of that really does help. i severely limited bread intake and ate no sweets at all. i,m thankful i dont crave them. i did not go on a diet i went on a life style change AND i,m still going strong. i wear a size 6 but i,m not toned up. i,m working on that right now. i,m doing 3 miles on the treadmill every day and will increase those miles later. feel free to ask me questions if you like. i wish you great success DONT GIVE UP. emoticon lol. i,m over 40 so i forgot to add i lost 100 pounds if i can do it you can do it! emoticon

Welcome to Sparks. This is a great place to exchange ideas, share your disappoints and celebrate your successes. Thus far, I want to help you celebrate your dedication on the treadmill. I used to run 2-3 miles a day on it (till my knees started acting up). I use it periodically now.

Idea exchange: don't try to do too much too soon but keep pushing your self. You don't want to have a set back from an injury. Be sure you stretch after you are done; and warm up sufficiently before starting the most difficult part of your workout.

hello!!! i'm a treadmill newbie. i just got a treadmill about 2 weeks ago and am loving it!
anyways, a little about me! i'm angela, 26 and weigh 241. i want to get down to 150-i'm giving myself plenty of time! i want to be healthier, feel better and look better. any tips, advice, anything would be appreciated!
