Hello everyone. I have been on SP before and am back again. So glad you all are still here!

Need to lose 15 -20 lbs as my weight has been creeping up again. Somehow my brain concludes that I am calorie proof after I've been a lower weight for awhile? Something's happening. Anyway, I have to take it off. Maybe this time I will make it down to 180. But I'm trying for 195 first. That seems like a less daunting number. :)

emoticon Heather. It is great to have you on the team. You seem to have a great strategy for getting those last few pounds off. What about the weekend events causes the gain. Is there a strategy you might be able to help you with that? You may not be able to avoid the situations, but maybe you can minimize the impact they have. Keep up the good work, you will be at goal soon and that is a huge accomplishment. Way to go!

Yesterday & today I tried out some different cardio & worked up a little bit of a sweat & got my heart pounding. Then did a little bit of strength training on my sons weight machine until I could feel the burn at least. I weighed myself this morning & lost a pound so I have a little over 2 lbs. to goal.

I am going to do some different cardio tomorrow & friday as well as my strength training. Hopefully by next week, I will be even closer to goal. emoticon

Hi my name is Heather. I am hoping this group can help me with my maintenace once I get there. I only have a few stubborn pounds to goal. I do so good during the week & then the weekend comes with events going on. I tend to gain a pound or two & have to start over again on Monday. The way my weekends are, I think I might have some issues with my maintenance.

As of today, I did step up my exercise a bit. So I think I did anyway. I did some faster cardio for about 20 minutes & then did my strength training program that I am on. I am hoping it will help.

Morning ladies! Pam you and Donna will have a special support by way of the TOPS.

I have a finance meeting this morning for my community and then will drive to a larger town about 20 miles away to look at refrigerators. It looks like we are in for more rain here and the temperature is hovering over 40 degrees.

Hello! I am new too, one month. I see that I have a fellow TOPS member in this group! I am so excited by that. I belong to MO1089 Warsaw. I have been in TOPS since 2009. I met my weight goal (160) in TOPS in July 2011. I was our Chapter's Queen and of course became a KOPS (Keeping Off Pounds Sensibly). I did great thru 2012. However, I lost my KOPS status in 2013. I lost my vision and was "sucked into" some extended family issues. I gained back up to 195.8 lbs.

FINALLY I have my mojo back! I have celebrated 5 consecutive weeks of weight loss at TOPS! Yesterday I weighed in at 1.8 lbs lost for this past week! WHOO HOO! I currently weigh 184.0 lbs. I am LOVING SP....such great trackers, weight and activity. Plus, I am exploring the community areas.

I just made myself a "Celebration Wall" in my closet! I put up all my TOPS Queen and KOPS awards. I see "THE WALL" every time I open my closet. I am really working at staying PUMPED UP!!! I trust you all are pumped up too as we lose weight together!

I'm a 57 year old woman that has a total of 92 lbs to lose to reach a decent weight where I can possibly get off of blood pressure pills and also not hurt so much from RA of the spine. I've been told by my doctor that the less extra weight I'm carrying the less stress there will be on my joints. I don't expect to lose it fast. It took me 8 years to put on all the weight. My goal is to drop 2 lbs every month and keep it off til I reach my 92 lb goal.
I am married to Bob and he's just had to get a pacemaker/defibrullator in March, and is still adjusting to having a very weak heart (20% heart strength), so I tend to stress over his health a lot, and when I'm stressing out, I tend to eat more than I should. So I will be working on making healthier food choices over time.

thanks for the warm welcome mauitn. last year when i lost the weight, i was on sparks doing it alone. i lost 1lb a week, mainly watching portions size and exercising 30mins each day on my clanking old bike. this year, i am having a hard time getting myself to do it again. i feel like a slug, i am tired, and just cannot motivate myself to do anything. i know if i keep at it, something will click...it just is a bit harder this year.
oh, and lily is a handful...she gets into everything!

I finally slept through the night and am feeling much more normal this morning. I just need to remember to take things one day at a time. I am sure getting back to exercise yesterday helped with the sleeping. So, onward I go.

hi gang...i am new to your team, but not new to sparks. last year i was able to lose 30lbs, only to regain it all back. my furry baby was diagnosed with terminal cancer, and with the stress of taking care of her, i just let everything go. new year, same goals...to get back to where i was. have a new fur baby and need to take care of myself so that i can take care of her.

I have been yo-yoing up and down with added pounds and have chosen today to begin to be more active on a consistent basis. I just need to move a little every day.

It is raining, foggy, and dreary here today. Im going to help decorate for a community Christmas party tonight and then need to start decorating my house this weekend.

Welcome Patchev! I'm also doing the "seesaw" dance. Up and down. For me, I think accountability, tracking, and keeping a daily journal are key for me. I have a big problem with getting exercise done. Perhaps you can tell us what and where your problem areas are. What is hardest for you and when do you allow "life" to throw you off track?

Hi everyone, my name is Kara. I've always been weight-conscious and into working out, but after a stress fracture and then studying abroad in Italy for 6 weeks, my weight really crept up and I was the heaviest I've ever been! I've lost some, but I really want to take the summer to get back to my usual weight by eating healthy and working out. I am also signing up for a 10K at the end of the summer. Hi! My name is Dove and I've made a good start to my weight loss but want to push forward and get to the next weight goal. I am counting calories and exercising at home on my own EQ and looking for support that others can bring.

I would like to get to 249 next. I find setting smaller goals and achieving them keeps me motivated rather than looking at the whole 100+ pound journey in one bite.

Hi all,
My name is Jenn and I've been a spark member since 2006 and have lost 70# I still have 40 to go. I find myself reaching out to new teams and resources after dealing with unnecessary drama on a former challenge/team I had been on. Silly me I thought we were adults...but really drama on spark..oh well. Hi everyone. I've been on Sparkpeople for quite a few years...even got down to my goal weight at one point. The last couple of years I've had the extra challenges of a slower metabolism and bum knee, so the weight keeps popping back on. I'll be 47 next month so middle age is also rearing its head!

I joined the 2% challenge because I love the idea of making small goals and consistently marching toward them. I really look forward to being a part of this team!
