Welcome Polishrose! You have come to a fantastic site and are among friends here. If your ideal weight according to the experts is in fact half of your body weight then you should be able to lose half of it. If I can give you some advice, and I am NOT an expert, it would be this:
1. Be very kind to yourself.
2. Use your Food Tracker every day.
3. If you can, follow the ''walking for beginners programme' on this site. Before you throw your hands up in the air because you know you don't have the time or the will power, just take a little look at it and let the idea kick around in your mind. You will find it in the Fitness link on the Healthy Life Style drop-down menu.
4. This is probably the most important one, take it one day (and one day only) at a time. The road to getting to your goal weight may seem long, hard and at times impossible, but it IS possible and many people on this site have achieved it, even lost more than you have to lose. And, wait for it, it can even be FUN.
