I workout fasted because if I don't I'll get indigestion and that sucks...which is my MAIN reason for not working out un-fasted. Anyway, I have more energy when I work out fasted because I feel lite and limber. I fast 16 hours a day 5 days a week and 24 hours two times a week (the term is called Intermittent Fasting IF) and I always workout fasted - it's very good for fat loss - anyway, that's a different story.
I follow a guy called LowCarbCory on Youtube (the guy to go to about IF) and he's got a great video called WHY I ALWAYS WORK OUT FASTED (aka: On An Empty Stomach!)...he's obnoxious and I've told him this as a lot of people lol, but ignore that because he gives out great information and his transformation speaks VOLUMES! Hi ladies! I need your opinion. How many of you prefer to work out on an empty stomach? My goal is to lose 60 lbs by doing it the old fashion way - diet and exercise, no pills. I get up every morning at 5 AM w/o eating breakfast and walk on the treadmill for 30-35 mins 5 days a week and strength training twice a week. After working out, I may eat a bowl of cereal if I have time before I leave for work or eat a cereal bar if I don't have the time. Honestly, I 'm really not a breakfast eater so it really doesn't bother me if I don't get a chance to eat something or not, but I often try to put something in my system especially after working out. I understand that many fitness experts have been debating about this very subject for a very long time. Some experts recommend for people to not work out on an empty stomach b/c it will cause to lose muscle which is something that I don't want to do whereas others say that it will cause to burn fat a lot faster. I'm going into my 3rd week, doing the above morning routine which have caused me to already loose 6 lbs. I figure if it is not making me sick nor causing me to pass out by working out an empty stomach it should be ok to continue what I've been doing. Do you agree with me? Thanks!
