As my fibro specialist put it, IBS is like fibromyalgia of the digestive system. So it is affected not just be diet but also by stress. Mine really reacts to spices and stress. So look at the whole picture. Also, carry an emergency kit with you containing diaper wipes, plastic bag for soiled clothing and a change of clothes. I also carry Depends because if it got that bad once, I don't want to mess myself again before I get home. Take care.
Slow and steady wins the race.

When was your last colonoscopy? Perhaps you need to see your physician. Do you take meds? Keep a food journal and try to determine which foods may be bothering you.Keep in touch with us. I hope things improve.

I've suffered for 5+ years now... for the last six months to a year, things have been fine (making better food choices, etc), but for the last 2 weeks, it's really, really bad. I've had to leave work due to IBS problems, and can't seem to pin in down to something I've eaten. Ug. Not good.
