Welcome Diane. We may not be able to help, only offer suggestions and understanding. Sometimes just talking to others that know what you are going through helps.
I know when I have flare ups eating very dry, plain and little helps. I often compare it to a scab that has fallen off a cut and the cut bleeds and has to go through the healing again, you are careful getting it wet, and to not scrape it. It's the same for the IBS.
I don't know if anyone else has this, many times I can take a bite of something and know if it is going to bother me. There is a sensation or a feeling I don't know what it is but I have learned to take it seriously. Listen to your body and pay attention.
We are here when you need a friend.

Hello, welcome to our group! I know for myself, everyone will try to help you as much as we can:) No, we aren't doctors but I think it's better to get advice from someone who's "been thru it" better than a doctor who studies it.
my experience, journal what goes in and out of your body like you said. But painkillers??
I don't know if you have C or D , but painkillers can really constipate me really bad.
and I normally have D. Fiber is good, try soluble fiber like fibercon or metamucil.
Don't be scared, we have all been thru it, that's why we are on this site. We love to help each other out:)
i get a lot of dietary fiber as it is. i was told to drink more water and put on both a stool sofener and a mild antidiaretic as the stool sofener works to well and also put on a anti-infalmitory/pain killer
I do not know of an app but hope someone else can help you. Glad that you were checked out. Did the doctor tell you to take fiber or give other advice?
