Take this first week to familiarize yourself with the tools here. Once you get used to using them, it becomes easier to use them even when you are busy. Personally, I spent my first week learning to use the tools, and just tracking everything I was already eating and doing for exercise. It gave me a baseline to work from. It also gave me a chance to really decide what my goals were, and how to get there.
This site can only provide the support and the tools to reach these goals. You need to put the hard work in. Personally, I end up kicking my own butt every day. Feel free to check out my blogs to see how I kick my butt out the door to get my fitness in. I can tell you, once I am finished with my exercise for the day, I feel great. No more I should do this and I should do that. Instead, I feel accomplished, and able to relax and enjoy the rest of my day.

You can not change yesterday - it's done.
You can only dream of tomorrow.
The only day you can change is today.
What are you going to do today to reach your goals of tomorrow?
It's supposed to be hard. If it wasn't hard, everyone would do it. The hard is what makes it GREAT

wow we have a lot of the same ailments. I dont have any motivation either and I have a lot of family all around here that need to lose to if we could just do it.
i am in the same boat as you are...i can only seem to stay motivated for a short time...and with all the health concerns to deal with it feels like you are fighting an uphill battle...i will also be interested to see what others say...i can only say dont quit i think as long as we keep trying we are winners..
Hi all....I'm kind of new here. I am soon to have another birthday making me more middle aged. I just can't seem to get motivated even though I know I need to be. My weight keeps creeping up all the time, but I guess I am sort of delusional in thinking I am doing the right things.
I try to exercise 30 minutes a day by walking. I try to eat healthy. I am hypoglycemic and have IBS, fibromyalgia, and hypothyroidism too. I get on a role and workout steadily and then fall off the wagon. I'd like to lose 50 pounds (of my current 200) and I would be happy. I just can't stay motivated.
I have all the equipment I need except for the motivation. I have an eliptical, treadmill, weights, tapes, videos, mats, etc.....But all I want to do is sit around....
Any tips or tricks to get moving?
