Take this first week to familiarize yourself with the tools here. Once you get used to using them, it becomes easier to use them even when you are busy. Personally, I spent my first week learning to use the tools, and just tracking everything I was already eating and doing for exercise. It gave me a baseline to work from. It also gave me a chance to really decide what my goals were, and how to get there.
This site can only provide the support and the tools to reach these goals. You need to put the hard work in. Personally, I end up kicking my own butt every day. Feel free to check out my blogs to see how I kick my butt out the door to get my fitness in. I can tell you, once I am finished with my exercise for the day, I feel great. No more I should do this and I should do that. Instead, I feel accomplished, and able to relax and enjoy the rest of my day.

Congratulations on taking the first step towards a healthier you! The one thing that I have to offer to you is the suggestion to track everything - go to my trackers and its there that you can keep track of your nutrition and your exercise. Remember to move. Even if its parking just a little further away, or taking a flight of stairs and then getting on the elevator. When you go to sit down to watch TV at night, do 10-15 minutes of walking in place FIRST before you sit down. No amount of dieting will help unless you change your way of eating and your way of moving. Make it about a healthy lifestyle change, not just a diet. Good luck! Keep us posted on your progress. If you are ready to make the commitment to that healthier you, you can do it.

Okay...I am here once again and trying not to be intimidated by this site and how to navigate around it. I am in desperate need of supporting persons who are working to reach their goals. I want to be successful this go round and I would like to meet people who are struggling with the overwhelming task of losing weight. Can anyone give me suggestions on how to get more support from this site and how to link up with persons who will be supportive?
