Take this first week to familiarize yourself with the tools here. Once you get used to using them, it becomes easier to use them even when you are busy. Personally, I spent my first week learning to use the tools, and just tracking everything I was already eating and doing for exercise. It gave me a baseline to work from. It also gave me a chance to really decide what my goals were, and how to get there.

This site can only provide the support and the tools to reach these goals. You need to put the hard work in. Personally, I end up kicking my own butt every day. Feel free to check out my blogs to see how I kick my butt out the door to get my fitness in. I can tell you, once I am finished with my exercise for the day, I feel great. No more I should do this and I should do that. Instead, I feel accomplished, and able to relax and enjoy the rest of my day.

Hello Janey!

Welcome... We take everyone just as they come. We all are each fighting some individual demon or circumstance.

As for myself, I'm re-emerging into the world after caring for my MIL and FIL in our home for 16 months. Aside from the regular 24/7 caretaker issues, I had the experience of having to care for abusive, mean-sprited, and self centered people. Thank goodness, my DH was supporting me all the way!

Take some time to get to know the site and all it offers. Work on earning Spark Points because that will give you incentive to keep exploring and learning. The level of interaction is completely in your control. We'll be here whenever you want to vent, talk, pose questions, or even brag... We're funny like that! :)

Hello out there...My name is Janey. I have never really felt comfortable in goal-oriented self improvement group situations. I always felt that my problems and personal challenges are mine and private. Now i wish to try something new and explore opening up a bit to others that may be experiencing similar difficulties as I am and see what happens.
I am a single mother of a teenager now awakening after what seems like a long 4 year period of hazy numbness after my very difficult divorce. For a long time I felt like I was a lost spirit floating in space. Now i feel like Im in the belly soon to be reborn. Its been a long haul to get my emotional, professional and financial life back together. Now I am ready to live again. I want to be more alive than ever before, but I still have a lot of work to do. Can anyone relate?
