My "studio" lol is a total wreck. I have reached the saturation point where I have just about everything I will ever need for papercrafting. I did get one more tool for Christmas--a Xyron sticker maker machine. But, that's it. I can't think of one other thing that I would ever need or use. I don't even have the desire for any more Copic pens. After I get the Christmas decorations all put away, I still won't be getting back to my papercrafting. I have a huge sewing project I started back in October that I had to set aside and need to get back on it. Then, my new year resolution is to start getting rid of a lot of "stuff" in this house that I haven't used in 15-20 years. I'm getting too old to keep all of this stuff.

Good luck to you Teenie, on getting back to your "scrap" room!! And, keep your chin up. Spring will come before you know it. Then you can plant flowers--outside--and not have to look at the scraproom.

I used to be on top on things, but the older I have gotten, the less things get done.....ugh. emoticon

I still work full time and then come home to my 7 yr old and with homework and dinner, clean up after, I am (stick a fork in me) Done. :( I hate that feeling. And now its winter and the roads are loaded with ice, so walking after dinner with the dogs, is out and honestly, I think I have started having that Seasonal Disorder....stuff :( I battled depression after I lost my dad to cancer on Christmas Eve 2008 and now, I am having recurring feelings. So I am praying for SPRING! No more Winter Blues! emoticon

I don't EVEN want to get started on my 'Scraproom' that has turned into my 'Craproom' emoticon
I have been saying, when it gets snowy and cold outside, I will get in my room and work....ya, well,...... ugh. emoticon

So my new goal for this year is to get in that room and get STUFF DONE! emoticon

I guess that's the reason for this team!! We are all that way. Good intentions, but no "spark." I have a project of decorating 50 gift bags that I need to get done by September 8 and have really been dragging my feet on that too. I'm glad I got my Christmas cards finished up immediately after last Christmas for this coming year. Otherwise, I would be putting that off too.

As many lbs as realistically possible before Thanksgiving 2013, my 61st birthday. They are on the same day, November 28, it happens once in many years depending on the leap froggy month. Last time was major the big 50, Thanksgiving I thought the earth trembled! lol

I haven't heard any more from my cousin, so I assume all is well with him. Also, I see the storm has pretty much cleared the state, so I guess we won't be getting any of it up here in Ohio where we desperately need it. Tomorrow, they have issued a "red flag" warning for us which is a rare occasion here. In fact, I don't ever remember having one at all. Glad you are getting settled in. I see you got your scrapbook things out of storage before you got your painting done. Now that's the way I do things!!! lol

So far where I live I think is going to fall just short of any major problems. We are still getting rain but mostly overcast skies and spinkles. We had rented a truck to get the "stuff" out of storag and now, well I really don't know what we are going to do. All the good furniture is still wrapped in movers blankets and we would really like to leave them on, because the items are just going into an empty room until we get the painting and other clean-up done. Thank you for asking. I hope your family is safe. Something one sort of gets used to in Florida.

My cousin lives close to St. Augustine and he posted on Facebook that he thinks he should start building an ark because they are drenched. So, I hope wherever you are that you will stay safe and dry. Hopefully, it will not turn into a full-fledged hurricane. A large portion of my family lives in Florida, but in South Florida. I also have many friends who retired and left Ohio to live in Florida, so I have lots to worry about.

Thank you for your welcome. We are doing O.K. so far with the weather. A lot of tornado warnings but after living in Kansas, I am sort of used to that. It looks at this point in time that Debby is going to go across the whole peninsula from west to east. The Governor as already declared a disaster zone. Anyway, again thank you for your welcome. Oh, my supplies are dry it is a climate controlled unit. I am anxious to get them out though. emoticon

Welcome to the team. We're pretty quiet, but I guess we "slack" here too. I hope you and your "stuff" is weathering the storm down there in Florida, and hope you are safe whereever you are. I live in Ohio and we are bone dry up here. I have another friend in FL who says she would like to send me some of that rain you are getting. I think you may be right that our scrapbooks might be a thing of the past when we die and we'll have to have everything done digitally. In fact, they do that at funeral homes now. Sad thought.

Anyway, good luck on your scrapbooks--if you can get to them.

Hi I'm new and I to am a slacker. My son is 30 and I got somewhere is highschool with school pictures got so depressed put away the stuff and decided somewhere later is life to move to FL (bad mistake) Now all my "stuff" is in a storage unit and I so need it for my vision page and I do have my pics under my bed. I really think though that with the digital stuff and blogging the kids do today we scrapbookers may be dinasors before long. My son's wife blogs all the time and posts the lastest pictures it is like a electronic scrapbook. Anyway, I still like things that are paper. I guess I'll have them bury my books with me ------if I ever make them! emoticon emoticon

My son is 24 and I haven't finished a book for him either. I have a box in the basement where I keep putting pictures, news clippings, awards, special scrapbook paper and a couple of books in his 'themes.' (Soccer, Scouts, Robotics) SOMEday I'll get one put together. It just doesn't help that he doesn't have any interest in the pictures, OR the books. Maybe someday his children will?!
My daughter on the other hand LOVES helping me put together her 'history.' We completed several scrapbooks before she graduated from HS for her graduation party. (MY son didn't want, nor have, a graduation party.)
So...Maybe I need inspiration in the form of conversation and time commitment. It is MORE fun to scrapbook with my daughter than by myself. My daughter offered to help put my son's together and that might do the trick for me.
Best wishes on putting your son's together!

Well, that's me. Gotta have all the equipment before I start anything. I have a "scrap" room FULL. I have done a few scrapbooks but always as a gift. I've started my oldest son's book, a couple pages (he will be 23 yrs old this year). But they say it's never too late, right?
