Hi, I am new and would like the help and encouragement from fellow truck drivers to help me lose weight and help controll my diabeties. As you know it is hard to do when you are on the road all the time. My husband and myself team OTR so I would appreciate all the help I can get.
Hi! Sorry it has taken me so long to introduce myself. I am actually a passenger riding along with my husband. We both want to be healthier. We have used Sparkpeople before but something always seemed to throw us off track. This time it is going to stick. We both do better when tracking our food and keep each other encouraged. I was wondering, I see people talking about fitness centers in the truckstops but never actually see any. We travel all over the country. Are there certain places that have more fitness areas? We like to do something other than walking once in a while. Thanks for any info you can share.

Thanks Viola! I am not sure just when but it will be my first time out and I will be a rider with a learner's permit until I decide what I am going to do. This seems like a good place to find some tips on staying healthy on the road as I know it will be a big challenge!

Welcome. It doesn't seem to be very active here but we can change that along with bettering our health and our lifestyles. Glad to have you here. When are you going back out on the road? Or is this your first time out?
