I considered joining one of those challenges, but they're never quite what I'm looking for, so I just decided to do my own. Day one was fine. I stayed completely on plan, and got my 30 minutes of exercise. The exercise can be tough sometimes because of problems with arthritis and a slipped disk, but I can usually get something done. Yesterday I walked on the treadmill for 30 minutes. Tonight I'm going to try to do that again, plus work out with weights.

I have been on a plateau for what seems like forever. My oldest granddaughter is a Nurse Practioner and has lost a lot of weight on the Beach Body diet and exercise plan and is now a coach. I have joined the 21 day Fix in the hope that I can kick start my weight loss.

Two years ago, I started on Dr. Joel Fuhrman's Eat to Live plan. I lost a lot of weight, but did not reach my goal. Over the last year, I have gained some of the weight back. I need to get control again, and lose what I've gained back, plus the rest.

I have decided to commit to 30 Days of Perfection. That means that for the next 30 days, I will eat according to my plan, which means ONLY fruits, vegetables, nuts, beans and whole grains. There will be no cheating. I will not drink alcohol of any kind. If I need a snack, it will be fruit or vegetable. I will stick to my plan RELIGIOUSLY. Also, I will exercise for a minimum of 30 minutes, 6 days per week. I will only skip the exercise on Fridays. I will post here at least once a week to tell how Im doing and will include my weight loss results. Today is Day 1 of Perfection. My starting weight is 171. Anyone want to join me for the next 30 days?
