I am new too and crashing after 3 days of coffee and insomnia but I love figuring out ways to save money. I use 0% credit card transfers and put them in cd's to earn interest and pay them off a month before they start charging interest. I only use credit cards with bonus points and such and get free gift cards every month. I use gasbuddy.com to find the cheapest gas, I think they have one in Canada too. I stock up on clearance sales for Christmas and use ebay and half.com where I both sell and buy. You can put stuff you have no use for up and usually get surprised with new income! (Also put some clearance stuff up if I know it's a fantastic deal) I will be debt free in June and was probably 20 thousand in debt to credit cards just a few years ago. Some say pay off the smallest first but I always look at interest. I don't want to pay anything that I didn't get something from so I paid minimum to everything but the one with the biggest interest and put every spare penny on paying extra to that until paid off. It worked for my credit cards, house, cars, and everything else!

Hello,

I am glad to have found this group... I have been a student for the past 6 years and in that time leaned on my credit to get me through... Now that I am just about done, I am up to my ears in debt and am looking for some good recommendations.

Right now, I am working two jobs - one is used for living expenses, and the other for paying off debt. Seems to be working well, but its hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel sometimes. Damn intrest.

Now, I have a wedding to save for, so I have to get my act together.

Really great to meet you all & I look forward to chatting with you all!

Angelina
