Hi, I just wanted to stop by and say hello and introduce myself. My name is Shana and I am a mother of 4 and wife of almost 20 years. We moved back to Oregon this past year after living in Kentucky for 13 years and we love it here. I was diagnosed with Fibro a few months ago after living years with unexplainable pain. Since my DX I have decided to become more in charge of my body, I still have those days where even getting out of bed isn't a option but I still try watching what I eat and 5 out of 7 days a week I go to the gym for a hour or more. My husband is also on this journey with me. He doesn't have fibro but he has chronic pain due to injuries overseas. He has been in a wheelchair for the past 7 years and is still using a cane or walker. But together we go to the gym and lift weights or do cardio, we try alternating between the two, every other day. Thankfully the gym we joined offers free consults with trainers so that way we can tailor our workouts to what we can or can not do(my husband has multi fused joints and I have a rotator cuff tear at the moment, plus of course the fibro)

In the end my goal is to loose 50 lbs and to just be healthier.
