Seriously need to increase water intake, couple of times per week only sleep about 5-6 hours. Also, have a high stress job. Some things cannot change now, but will definitely change others. Will take 1/2-1 lb weight loss weekly. Like I said, this will be a new way of living. I have all the tme.

True! A 1 pound loss is still a loss. Our bodies all work differently. A couple of questions come to my mind, though.
1) Have you had your blood work checked to make sure it's nothing medical?
2) Do you drink at least 8 glasses of water a day?
3) Are you in the correct calorie range?
4) Are you getting enough sleep at night, at least 7-8 hours?
5) Are you stressed about something?

I'm not saying that you aren't losing fast enough, but sometimes the above factors play a role in that weight loss. If everything above is fine, then you are doing exactly what you need to do!

I re-joined sparkpeople in Dec 2012 with the goal of losing 50 lbs. I have been tracking my food daily and doing at least 20-30mins of jogging 4-5 times a week. So far I lost about 7lbs, its going slow and can become discouraging, but I think I will stick with it. I might have to reevaluate my goals, maybe if I have the goal of losing 1/2 lb weekly instead of 1lb weekly I will be able to see result and remain motivated.
I think I need to look at this as a new way of living and not some short-term thing.
