Hi! I have an 11 year old son with Asperger's and a 3 year old daughter. My big thing is when my kids want to share something they are having with me...yesterday I was glad I said no to a brownie and trying the "Raspberry Coke" from the soda machine...my son was a little put out I couldn't "try something new" though. Both my kids are thin & healthy and my son especially is very active and sometimes hyper so he eats huge amounts and has trouble keeping his weight up. I have to get or cook high calorie (heavier dinners) for him and have something different for me! It is often hard to watch them eat the yummies that I know would cause me to not follow my plan. I have to really be careful when I am allowing them a treat and make sure that it is something I really dislike so I don't end up with some of it. Like yesterday, icecream. I can't have icecream in the house because I will eat it...but luckily he picked probably the only icecream I truly dislike (Oreo) so no danger for me.

MYKIDSRSWEET, I have struggled with that too. I now have one of the older ones clear the table and throw away any thing left on the plates and if there are left overs they also put those away too. That way all I have to do is wash the dishes, if I don't have one of them do it. AHHH it is nice now that they can reach the sink lol.
100% of the shots you don't take don't go in.

Welcome, I am also a mom of three, ages 4, 9, and 11. I find challenges losing weight and not picking up and snacking on the food they leave on their plate. I hate throwing it away...but I must these days.
