Yes, once you can live healthy most the time, instead of thinking you'll be able to eat anything and not exercise "once you lose the weight", you've found the key! Our bodies need good nutrition to feel energetic and they need to move to keep tuned up.
Focus on living your life as a healthy person, no matter what your weight is now, and aim to keep it that way. There will probably be bumps in the road- special occasions where you may overeat, but just try to bring yourself back to your healthy lifestyle each time it happens. Perfection is unrealistic, so don't get discouraged if you aren't perfect all the time.
