Hello I am a thirty something who has 4 young children....7,6,4 1/2 and 2. I also had a few miscarriages in between all those kiddos. I am officially done having kids and need to get back to the woman I used to be with a few tattoos that naturally happened from having kids! The last 2 1/2 years have been extremely hard. I lost my 19yr old nephew in Oct 2009 and then my Godfather who was like a dad to me on 1/1/2012. I turned to eating when I lost my nephew with the opinion that I would lose it after I gave birth. I coped with his lose through eating afterward. I began to get on the right track last spring when my godfather was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. I spent much time trying to keep up with my kids and what was going on with him. I again turned to food! In October 2011 my brother took me out on my 1st 5k run! My goal was to finish it without walking at all! I finished in 39:54. I have since ran 2 others. I have not been happy with the way I look in some time now; therefore, I started researching and found SparkPeople. I am starting to eat their food plan on Sunday because I need to eat what we have before I start this new process. I have logged yesterday and started today! I hope that this site can help me change! I have such a positive feeling and I am so excited! Both my brothers have lost 50+ pounds in the last year and look great! I have tried their methods, but it doesn't work. Now it's my turn! :)
