I am a mom of two teens and an infant (surprise!). I was already 20 lbs overweight when I found out I was pregnant and finding it harder to lose the baby and additional weight now that I'm in my forties!
I've been a Sparkpeople member for quite a while, but this is the very first time I've posted anything. I was on a bit of a streak for the last 3 weeks and then my older kids went to camp and my husband went on a business trip and voila, I reverted back into bad eating habits the very next day and have continued fornthe past 3 days. I had more food in the fridge than needed for one per on for 2 weeks and still had some of the whacky items the kids like. I also stopped planning my meals, because "it's just for me, why should I bother". So this has been my 'aha!' moment.
Obviously I need differen't strategies when my family is not around, and considering school is just around the corner, I'm glad to have realised this now! Today I am cleaning out the fridge and cupboards and making a meal plan for the rest of the time that I am alone. I am going to figure out a way to work out with my baby, and take better advantage of nap time.
I am going to post or blog every day, because I need to be accountable somewhere! I've fallen, and fallen hard, but getting back on right now.
