I used to have a metabolism most people would kill for. I could eat like a horse and still look like a twig. Two kids and 10 years later I'm not so fortunate. My cholesterol is up, my weight is up and my motivation was down.
I started to turn things around for myself a few months ago when my doctor told me about my cholesterol. I took the first big step and I quit smoking after 16 years of that ridiculous habit. I instantly started to feel better. But the weight has was still an issue. I began to do a Pilate's workout 30-minutes a day, 3-4 days a week. Although this makes me feel great and incredibly relaxed, I am still not losing the weight as I had hoped.
I began my search to find a way to track my calories and how to burn more. That's when I found Spark People. I am so excited to be a member of this site. I actually referred all of my friends from work too, and it has been the buzz of the office the rest of the day.
We are talking about starting a tracking plan and support group within our small office to help each other attain our goals. I can;t speak for the others, but I have found a renewed enthusiasm about my goals and know I will reach them as I have set forth today.
