Welcome to the team! I would say start with small changes and you won't really need that much motivation. I started with tracking my food everyday. That let me see how many calories I was eating and made me generally more aware of what I was eating. Small changes will get you where you want to be!
Hi marva--wow, you are really hard on yourself! You have taken one good step at least--joining SparkPeople and posting here. Take it one step at a time and one day at a time and reassure yourself that you can do this. You can change and have the life that you deserve! I wish I had good words to say about my self , but I don't..,I can only say that I have no drive or motivation but I desperately want to shed this unwanted weight . I wish I could live a normal healthy life with an average weight. I have completely let my self go .. I have no clue what today's fashions are because " I don't fit in " size wise. I'm afraid of loosing the last piece of self esteem I do have left once I go over 250. I'm 38 years old married to a younger fairly healthy man with two kids 16 year old daughter and 6 year old daughter. I have no life outside of work and my family. I dress like I'm poor because I refuse to spend money on larger size ugly clothing. I want to change my life so badly but I have no drive no way to make me want to change . My husband tells me all the time that he loves me for me no matter my size but I cant love me at this size so its hard me to show him love back. He is starting to get irritated with my negative talk about my self and so am I. I just cant find the nerve to do anything about it. I hope with in 3 months from now I'm introducing my self as a different person . But for now this is me.
