Hi. I am first time mommy with a 3.5 month old son. I rejoined sparkpeople after using it to successfully lose weight a couple of years ago. I am ready to get this baby weight off and get back to my exercise and running routine. That is, if I can get some sleep and find the time first!

Hi everyone! I'm Angie. I have a daughter, Ariana who is 8 and a son Dexter who is almost 6 months old. I just rejoined SP after about a year and a half. I didn't gain a lot of weight this time around and it has all come off. The problem is I didn't lose the weight I gained with my first. Still looking to lose about 45 pounds and tone up a bit. I'm looking forward to being a part of this group. I find that being a new mom again has been more motivation than ever to get into shape. Have a great day!

Hi, I am Lavanya. I have a son who is 1 and half years old. I have been having a constant weight problem after my 20's. I have gained around 8 kgs after pregnancy and it is very difficult to lose all the extra weight. I have joined this team to motivate myself in getting back to shape and being the best mom possible.I am on anti anxiety medication which adds to my weight gain. However I am confident I will reach my goal very soon.

Two summers ago I was on a roll and lost 50 pounds and aLOT of inches but gained it all back plus some during my pregnancy. GRRR
I'm ready to start really living life!! I've been suffering from depression for too long now and it's time for it to all end!!! So...here I am....trying to gain support and encouragement so I don't fail this time!!!

Hello =]
My name is Trina - This is baby #5 for me. I'm due next week and I've stuck with SparkPeople through my entire pregnancy so that I stay on track. I've been a SP member for over a year now and I'm getting really excited to be able to get back into a fitness routine soon.
I have 4 boys already (aged 11, 10 and 2 yr old twins) and this one is expected to be a girl (but we're ready either way. I was working from home running my own Private Daycare but obviously it's closed down for a couple months right now with the intention of starting back up in late June, early July.
I have a fairly solid plan in place with a deadline that cannot be moved. This is actually good for me since I'm a huge procrastinator. I'm hosting a 5K in my town this Nov to raise funds to help our local food bank out for the Christmas Hampers. We've used their help a few times in the past. There were 2 Christmas's we couldn't afford much and they helped us put gifts under the tree and Christmas dinner on the table. This is my way of paying it forward =] Plus it also gives me a chance to get into shape and to stick to it. Since it's my 5K I can't back out LOL. My goal is to not have to walk at all during the race but I'm just happy to be a part of a great cause and to finally do my 1st 5K so if I need to walk for a bit I won't be totally disappointed.
Currently I'm seeing a counsellor and a dietician to help me along my journey. I have a lot of people that "support" me, but I find that they're more of the type that are just really there as a friend or family member that's aware that I'm want to get healthy and get back into shape. With having the twins I have a hard time getting out and being social so I depend on message boards on SP to keep me motivated. I'm looking forward to being a part of this team and getting to know a lot of you =]

Hi, I'm Marina, I have a 15 month old daughter. I first joined SparkPeople several years ago and lost 20 pounds and ran my first 10k, but have really fallen off the exercise wagon since I got pregnant. I'm 5 pounds over my pre-pregnancy weight now (thank you breastfeeding!) but I feel really out of shape and want to take up running again. My husband and I are talking about having our second soon, and I know I'll be really disappointed in myself if another pregnancy and infant keeps me from running for another two years. So I want to get back in the exercise habit before getting pregnant. My big challenge is my daughter has never slept through the night, and usually wakes up at least 2-4 times a night. So getting up the energy to wake up early and go running has been really hard. I'm hoping that now is the time I turn this around and would really appreciate support from others who are in the same boat. :)

I'm Holly. I'm 23 and I'm a new mommy to my little girl, Ivy. We call her Kitty. She is almost 7 weeks old now. (Time is flying by!) and I'm ready to start getting myself together. I was over weight before I had her after suffering from a deep depression for several years. It took us 3 years to get pregnant and I thought it was never going to happen for us. I had completely given up when I found out I was going to be a Mommy! I was back down to my pre-pregnancy weight within a week of her birth but it's no where near where I need to be. I won't be on daily because I don't have internet at home yet, but I will be on every few days. I'm looking for friends with children around the same age so we can keep up with each other and motivate each other. I NEED to get healthy so I can be a good Mommy to my little miracle.

Hi eveyone! My name is Whitney and I am the mother of 2 amazing girls: a 4 year old and an 18 month old. This is my first time joining Spark People.
Until about 3 years ago (after my 1st child), I tried Weight Watchers to get that extra 15-20pounds off that I had always had on after high school. Weight watchers was helpful in helping me understand the importance of nutrition, healthy choices, and I did lose the weight!
Alas, my comfort is food. So what do I do under stress of finishing grad school, getting pregnant again, having 3 losses in my life, as well as moving 600 miles away from family for my job after the birth of my 2nd child? You guessed it, turn to food...
So, despite my rationalizing and telling myself I don't care how much weight I have gained, here I am. I want to forge through the hardship and self-pity of choosing to live away from my family and friends and to get myself back to healthy living. My husband and I have already changed our eating-out habits and look forward to checking out some gym memberships (now that we have extra room in the budget). I am going to need all the help I can get from SparkPeople! Very thankful for this site already :)

Hello! My name is Elizabeth. I am 28 years old, and gave birth to our first child in August. I have been overweight since I was a child. I want to get healthy so that I can always be there for my son. I'm finding it hard to balance being a new stay-at-home mom and accommodating healthy daily habits.

Hi, my name is maria. I have always been overweight since I was about 8 or 9. At 16 I went in for a doctors visit and was told that I had Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome and I would never have children because of that and my weight. My old highest weight was 343 and I was dating a very abusive guy and was not allowed to eat so I lost an unhealthy amount of weight in about 8 months I was down to 300. Once I finally by that grace of God, got out of that relationship and had realized that at 20 years old I had a lot to live for I shed down to 289, I was more active more happy, even at that still high number.
When I was 21 years old I went to urgent care for a kidney infection and the doctor comes in and says you have a kidney infection but don't worry the medicine I am giving you is safe for the baby. I almost fell out in the floor. My whole life I had wanted to be a mommy and after doctor's broke my heart at 16 years old here I was pregnant. I was over the moon. My pregnancy was a difficult one and I gained a lot of weight!!! I went from 289 at 10 weeks of pregnancy to 350 the day I went in for my c-section. When I went back for my check up after having her I was back down to 303 so a lot of it was fluid.
I had post partum which had a lot to do with not wanting her out of my site and not being able to breast feed well. She was tongue tied at birth so they had to fix that. She was also born with several holes in her heart and enlarged aorta so the Dr told me to watch her like a hawk and that I did.
God has been good to us because she is now 2 years old and so wonderfully smart and funny. We are still battling health problems with her little heart but she has over come so much already she is truly my inspiration.
I weighed last week and was 362.7 my highest weight in my life and I am only 24. It scared me, because for the first time in my life I have something to truly live for and I am being selfish by being this over weight. I joined the biggest loser challenge on here GO TEAM BLUE!!! and I weighed Friday and was down to 357.6. I am making little goals for myself and pray that I can really do this. I need to get healthy for me and I am doing this for me! I deserve it and so does my baby girl!!

Hi. My name is Emily. I am a mommy to 2 wonderful kids. My sone is 3 (almost 4) and my daughter is 9 months. I am 26 and a full time professional with the university here in KS. After about a year at home with my son I started to diet and workout and lost about 40 lbs. About a week after losing all that weight I found out I was pregnant and gained it all back plus some with that pregnancy. My daughter was breech so I had a csection with her. Now I am at probably one of the heaviest weights I have ever been and I am looking to get healthy. My goal is to lose 1-2 lbs a week until August. I would love to be at 155-150 by then. I am eating healthy. I have cut our most of the sugars from my diet. I also started TurboFire. Its hard for me to find time to workout so I am not really following the schedule right now. I have been switching between the Fire 30 and HITT 15. Anyway, thats a little about me.
I don't want to lose the fat, I have no intention of finding it. I want to get rid of it.

Hello everyone! My name is Jade. I am a mom of 3 kiddos ages 8, 5, and 1 year. I am a sahm for now. I own 2 of my own companies so I'm pretty productive and both allow me to stay home and be with my kids. I am pretty active. I had a hard last pregnancy and was on bed rest from July 2011 until I delivered December 8, 2011. So basically I just laid in bed and did nothing by raid my mini fridge and watch tv for 5 months. My was finally born at 37 weeks and was healthy so we made it through it!! And he was definitely worth it!! I joined the gym in February 2012 and lost all my baby weight plus more by July 2012. My doctor said my weight range was between 155 and 165 and I was 159 last time I weighed in so I made it. I love Zumba and bar bell classes and weight training. I am at my healthy weight but I still feel like I need to tone up more and loose the rest of my flab on my arms and stomach and other areas so that is why I joined you all. I would like to see myself around 145 but I'm not sure if that's a realistic goal or not for my height (I'm 5'9") but we shall see. I'm happy with my weight and size but I really want to tone more so I'm gonna keep going. I want to get my Zumba instructor certification so that is what I am shooting for. :)

Hey everyone! I Just joined the group :) About 5 years ago I used sparkpeople to help me lose 60 lbs...during my pregnancy I gained it all back, plus some! My little one is 9 months old and although I have lost some of the weight on my own, I'm ready to work harder to get the rest of this weight off. So I rejoined spark people yesterday :)

Hey everyone! I'm also a new mom of a 2 month old. CoolMOM22 I'm also from Texas!
I have been a member of Sparkpeople for a while, and my weight has fluctuated off and on. I actually weigh less than I did when I first got pregnant, but I was overweight before my pregnancy so now that I got the clear to exercise again I want to continue trying to get in shape and get healthier. Now, I have even more of a reason to, for my little one.
I'm loving being a mother! My challenge has always been trying to find the time to exercise, and that's still a challenge now even though I'm now working from home. I'm breastfeeding too which also seems to make things more challenging. Sometimes I feel he's hungry all the time! *lol* Right now, it seems the best time for me to get work done is late late at night/early morning, but depending on the amount of sleep, when I have time varies. I still have to meet with clients during the day so I can't always work those hours only. We're trying to get a routine going! I'm hoping I can find some good advice and support here since this is my first time being a parent and I'm learning as I go.
Motivation wise, well I have the best motivation in the world now so let's see how things pan out this time! I'm happy to be a part of this team and look forward to getting to know other parents/members.

Hi everyone! I am a first time mom to an adorable 2 month old son, Liam. I joined sparkpeople to find the motivation I need to get rid of the pesky baby pounds that won't come off so easily! I took out my fall/winter clothes last week and I can't fit into most of them yet. I don't want to purchase a new wardrobe for a size I don't want to be in! Seems like a total waste of money! I enjoy jogging and have started up again a week ago. Slow start, but a start nonetheless. I'll only be able to run on weekends when my husband is home to watch Liam, so during the week I'll have to pull out some DVDs to use while Liam is napping. I've got The Firm and Jillian Michael's 30 day shred. It would be great to have a buddy to go on this journey with! Good luck to everyone!

Hello, my name is Heather. I had my son Trysten 4 months ago and I have been slowly off and on working on getting my baby weight off. I finally made it back down to my pre-pregnancy weight. But it wasn't a healthy weight to begin with. I have problems with losing interest or motivation in my weight loss history. The only time I did lose a lot of weight was when I got my braces in high school. I would be overjoyed if I could get back down to that size. I wasn't super skinny, but I wasn’t depressed to go clothes shopping. Last night was what made me realize what I should do and what important. My son, I want to be able to keep up with him and show by example that health is important and maintaining it.

Hello everyone. My name is Christina and I decided to join today after stepping on a scale. I had my first baby at the end of July, his name is Opie. I'm excited about being a mom, but really want to be able to keep up with him as he gets older. I used to work out religiously, but admittedly got lazy once I found out I was pregnant and I have stayed that way since.
I'm moving to Nashville November 1 and really won't have a strong support system down there. I'd love to meet some people on here and use these boards to really help with my motivation.

Hi everyone. My name is Tyleena. I am a new first time mom to a beautiful little girl. She is almost 7 months old now, born April 04. I have been overweight for a long time and have tried several times to lose the weight and get in shape but never culd stick with it and stay motivated but now it's not just for me; I really want to get in shape to be the best mommy I can be.
I have been under a lot of stress lately and am trying to find the help and support I need to take care of myself so I can take care of my daughter. Mostly I need someone to be accountable to and call me on it when I don't do what I said I would. I have a friend/co-worker who is making goals with me and we are trying to support and push eachother but we could both use all the support and pushes we can get ;) And I hope I will be helpful and supportive to everyone on here as well. Thank you for allowing me to join this group.

Hi everyone! I'm Chrissy. I am a mommy to 3 week old Dillon, 6 year old Ryan, 7 year old Samantha, 11 year old Summer, and 13 year old Megan. I have been overweight for a majority of my life with little few month intervals of being at target weight throughout my 20's. I decided that since Dillon was my last child, I want to get back into shape. I want to be happy and healthy so I can keep up with all of my kids. Especially the demands of a little one.
My short term goal is to get below 200. I am hovering 231-234 right now. My long term goal is 160ish. I may never see 140 again and I am okay with that. I do want to be well below 200 for the first time in 9 years. That would be fantastic!!!!

I recently lost my father, so finding motivation to get outside and exercise with my daughter (stroller) has been hard but something I'm going to try and over come.

Hi everyone I'm Justine and I am a 25 year old Mother, Student, Homemaker & Office Employee. I have 3 daughters; Jocelyn 4, Aubrey 2 and Elayna 2 months. They keep me busy and on top of caring for them and all my duties at home as a mother and fiance I go to school part time and work part time. I was raised on ramen noodles, soda & TV dinners so finding healthy foods I actually enjoy is a challenge for me. It's nice to meet everyone looking forward to being part of this team!

Hi, I'm Tara, Im 19 years old and just had my first baby on Sept. 2nd. I gained about 70 pounds during my pregnancy and honestly wasn't really comfortable with my body before I got pregnant so I really just want to loose the weight so I can feel good about myself. I don't have very much time for myself because I go to work, go to school and take care of my baby. I love my food which is why I think loosing weight has always been hard for me but I'm determined to loose my weight this time because I really want to feel good about myself.

Hello, I am Brittie and a mother to soon to be one year old daughter name Lily and a stepmom to a seven years old girl name Sky. I got pregnant with Lily in December, not even knowing until I was five months pregnant (YES THAT LONG TO SHOW). Fortunately, I was eating healthy until strange cravings hit me. I gained about 40 pounds that I would love to lose by spring. I need all the motivation and the support I need.
I have facebook also...

Hi! Im Brandie, I am 21 and a mother to 3 beautiful baby boys ages 2, 16 months, and 4 months on the 29th. I am getting married in March and need help and encouragement losing weight. I got pregnant with my first son in November of '09 and had him in July of '10 I only gained 12lbs with him due to a TON of stress and lost all of it and more when I had him. My second son ruined my body, lol. Its ok though cause I love him! I was borderline diabetic with him and got up to 165. I had him April 19th '11 and got pregnant with my third son in September weighing 145 and when I had him in May I weighed 157. I probably weigh 150 now. Its not super bad but I am also only 5'2" so it looks as though I weigh more. Hoping to be 115 at the least by my wedding in March. Super excited for this journey and hoping this site helps me to be more in touch with diet and exercise. :)

Hey Everyone! My name is Shay and I'm a (for now) SAHM of 3. Braydon, my athlete (9 next week), Addison, my diva (5 in December) and Braxton, my new guy (2 weeks old, born 9/5/2012). Before getting pregnant with Braxton, I literally lived in the gym, working out 2-3 hours a day, 6 days a week. I absolutely can not wait to get back to that point again! Right now, being only 2 weeks postpartum, my activity level is somewhat limited (just starting to put in some daily miles via walking).. but getting better every day. I plan to start jogging/running 4 weeks postpartum. Right now, I'm really trying to focus and redirect my eating habits. I used my pregnancy with this little guy as a hall pass and cheated on my diet, A LOT, gaining 30 pounds (not a terrible amount).. But now I have about 15 pounds of baby fat to lose! I know it'll be a cake walk (for lack of better terms) once I get my head back in the game and more than 5 hours of sleep a night. :) I'm super pumped to get healthy and fit again, since I really do pride myself on being a 'hot mom', haha and I'm going back to work as a trainer come January 2013 (I should at least somewhat look the part, right?!)
I'm excited to meet some new people and see what this site/group is all about on my way. Feel free to

Hi Everyone, I had my first baby 5 months ago and now back to SP trying to get back into being active. I was working full time before but now staying home, my work was very active mostly being on my feet on the go for 12hrs. Staying active is getting to be a challenge. I've started doing 5-10minutes exercises in the house and when hubby is home I do treadmill for at least 25 minutes, this is not consistent.. I'm also Breast feeding so I can't really cut my calories much, but I have to stop my waist inches from creeping up.

Hello everyone, my name is samantha and I am the mother of a 7 month old baby. I am working on becoming healthier, and lose some weight, for my child. I want her to be healthy also. I find it difficult sometimes to workout with her, because I am a stay at home mother, and have no time to myself. I do take her for walks, and she loves the outdoors.

Hello my name is Aris. I'm a proud mother of a 3 week old prince. I'm currently out of work, but will be returning to work full time after we bond!!! I have 20 lbs to lose to put me at my pre-pregnancy weight, though I have another 80 I'd wish to lose to be a healthy, fit, and active mommy. I'm breastfeeding and hope to continue to do so until he's one. It's been hard for me to lose weight prior to becoming a mother and I can only imagine the hurdles ahead of me with my prince stuck to my hip. This is why I am here to get support from mommies like me! Hello again!!!

Hi, I'm Melanie and I am a first time mom of a beautiful 3 month old baby boy. I work full time and I even teach Turbo Kick twice a week, but I find it hard to carve out additional days to work out. My other problem is that my eating is out of control. I gained 35 pounds during my pregnancy and was 179 at delivery. I lost 23 of those pounds, but recently put on 5 more. I want to get down to my ideal weight of 125. I would love an accountability partner. Winter is coming and I need to get back into my clothes :)

Hi my name is Nicole. I have almost 5 month old boy/girl twins. I was overweight when I got pregnant but then had a very hard pregnancy and was put on bedrest and told to eat as many calories as I could to get weight on them because they would probably come early. I really didn't gain much weight during my pregnancy, only 35 lbs but I have such horrible habits now. Really trying to start to break some of them. Really hope this group can be a support.

Good morning! About my mom hood: I have three children, ages aree 12, 9 and 16 months. my older kids are very active in sports, current season is football and field hockey. My 9yo daughter is a type 1 diabetic, almost two years since DX, and was diagnosed in July with celiac. My lilttle Man, AJ is an exttreme sporter already! he has been climbing since 5 months, walking now for 6 months or should I say running! He keeps me on my toes. My husband is an iron worker, working 10-12 hours a day.... So he is a presence in the home, but has to be pushed a bit to help me. About me: I am 34 and once upon a time had dreams and goals like normal people. But God decided to halt that and have me become a SHM. I love being home, I love that I get the chance to rear my children. However, I am a social person... Ugh. I have a business degree, I am a year shy of obtaining a BRE in family and marriage counciling. Oh, and I am a volunteer EMT and firemen. You will note that I am NOT PC! I come from a small town in NY, and current trends for that have not yet made it here, though they are trying to break us, lol. I spend my time, chasing the kids and driving all over the place. For down time I write. About my journey: for some reason I gain weight AFTER pregnancy. I lost thirty pounds two summers ago, got pregnant and kept it off almost the entire pregnancy. Until the last few weeks, my last OB appointment I gained 14 pounds! I delivered fours days later. And have since then gained another 25 pounds. So I right back where I began 9 years ago. I have 80-90 pounds to shed, shred and mail away. I am here to gain health. I need support and accountability and I turn I am here for you. Together we can!
We have never been called to be more than who we are..... Be yourself

My husband also throws out little hurtful comments on occasion. I try to blow it off and act like it wasn't a big deal, but next time he does it I will bring it to his attention. Husbands are supposed to build you up and support you right? I think my husband needs some help with that. Thanks for sharing!

Hello, My name is Tawni. I have an almost 5 month old son. I gained an outrageous 88lbs during pregnancy! I lost an initial 30 lbs after birth, since then i've lost only 8 more lbs. When I was younger I was overweight and worked out almost everyday and ended up losing over 80lbs so I know I can do it, It's just a matter of actually DOING it. My biggest problem is motivation. I would love to have someone to work out with, but everyone I know are also procrastinators. So, I'm hoping this site can help me somehow. Thanks for listening :)

Hello I am a new mom to a 10 month old boy. I did not gain too much weight when pregnant, and was back to my pre-baby size a few months after birth. However since then I have gained 40 lbs and cant seem to curb my appetite. I also do not have any time to work out. I know my eating habits are out of control. I eat after I put the little one to bed, ice cream is my downfall. Im also addicted to sugar. and caffeine. And since going back on birth control my appetite is always there. I need to develop better eating habits and curb the sugar, as well as learn to work out. I take walks, but I need some serious cardio excersie to loose this weight! and some support. thanks.

My name is Rachel and I have two boys, an almost three-year-old and a two-month-old. I gained a bit more than expected with #2 (a little over 50 lbs) and lost 27 right away, but the remaining 25 is lingering around. Of course, I AM only two months in! So, I'm not being too hard on myself.
HOWEVER, a few nights ago, I was chowing down on sorbet and a cupcake in front of the TV when my husband stupidly said "you wonder why your weight loss has plateaued?' My response was "NO, I haven't wondered for a minute. Did you know that other husbands make their wives feel good about themselves?". He felt awful and admitted that it was a very stupid thing to say, but it stung nonetheless.
So, let the healthy eating begin so I can throw it in his face

My name is Danielle and my son is now 14 months old which means I have been making excuses for 14 months now. I nursed my son for a year which made will power hard due to the fact that I am suppose to consume extra calories and I ALWAYS felt hungry. Well no more excuses for this mommy. I am ready to shed all of this weight so I can be the playing partner my growing boy will soon need! I am also a former D-1 college athlete and really miss being able to perform at the levels I am use to because of the weight. At my heaviest I was 268 and after 6 weeks I am down to 243 and still chug-a-lugging. I am a full time mom, student, and employee so making time for myself is hard but if it's ever going to get done I had to stop making excuses and just do it! That being said I will graduate in May with a psych/pa degree and hopefully will be getting into PA school! Got my big girl pants on!

Hello All! My name is Megan. I'm the moman (French-Canadian for mommy :D) of a precious 8 month old boy we've dubbed "Moose". I put on a few pounds when I got into college, and a few more stuck after the baby, so here I am trying to lose a few. My husband and I split since our son was born, so diet and exercise as a single mom has become a new challenge!
I'm 21 and was in school for teaching and hopefully will return to school once I get the hang of single mom-hood. I love baking/cooking and crafting and have recently started dabbling in golf and tennis in my spare time.
Glad to meet everyone!!

hello. my name is Ashlea. I am 19 soon to be 20 on september 19th. I have a 9 week old son who is my life. During my pregnancy i gained 100 pounds ( i know its alot). Everyone told me it was normal to gain a lot of weight with your first baby but i beg to differ. I feel like i gained entirely to much. within 2 weeks after my son was born i lost 20 pounds but then the depression set in and i have gained nearly all of it back. I am ready to make the change and try to this weight so i can be happy and healthy for me and my son. Hopefully I can lose it fast everyone said when your young it is easier. My only problems now are finding time to exercise and learning how to eat healthy.

Maddy, it seems as though we are on (almost) the same road!!
I am a 42-yr-old first time mama (yep, lump me in as an AMA mom!) of a 12-week-old baby boy. I've been back at work for a few weeks now (got 7 off to start) and miss my little guy every day. I lost a lot of water weight in the first few weeks, but would love to get off more so I can keep up with my little man once he's running around the house!
I've tried losing weight before, but many obstacles have gotten in my way. With the added responsibility and time commitment to my son, as well as my husband (!), I know this won't be easy, but I know that I need to show my son a healthy way to live.
I've also had a c-section and will be taking that into consideration with exercise plans.

It is not enough to take steps which may some day lead to a goal; each step must be itself a goal and a step likewise. Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
To climb steep hills requires a slow pace at first. William Shakespeare
I'm a brand new mom of an 11 week old baby girl. I love and miss her so much now that I'm back at work. I'm on a mission to get rid of the added baby weight plus the weight I'd been gaining for the past few years. I want to be able to wake up in the morning and not groan like an old lady. I want to play with my baby girl and be able to chase her bike when she starts to pedel her little feet off.
I lost 20lbs of water weight my first month after my baby was born, and what a relief that was. I'm 35 so the weight doesn't just come off like it used to. I'm also in a lot more pain than I used to be. Back pains, swollen legs and over all body aches really suck! I'm determined though and I know I'll get rid of the fat. I just need to remember that slow and steady wins the race and life is not "all or nothing". I want to make changes for life!
Any ideas or tips on how to start exercising after a c-section are very welcome!

Hey yall! I'm Jessica, I'm a 25 year old SAHM with a beautiful, smart, amazing (I could go on forever!) 15 month old little girl. I enjoy doing anything with my sweet pea, crafting and anything outside. I actually only gained about 10lbs when I was pregnant, granted that I lost 20lbs early in my pregnancy (all day sickness), I was definitely not at the weight I wanted to be at when I got pregnant. I want to lose roughly 50lbs. I want to be healthier for my daughter and for myself, as well as to be at a better weight when we decide to try for baby #2. I have tried to lose weight so many times in my life and always failed. I always give up on myself so I need all the motivation I can get!! Good luck Mommys!! I look forward to getting to know everyone!

Hi team! I'm a new mom to a 6 week old baby boy. I gained nearly 60 lbs during pregnancy. Half fell off and half is still left. Plus I'd like to lose a few more. I successfully used spark to get to my goal weight for my wedding, and hoping that losing the baby weight is good motivation. I look forward to getting to know you all!

Hello my name is LaQuel and I'm 23.I am a fulltime mom of two beautiful and very energetic tots :) I live with my fiancé of 5 years and our two children and I also work part time as an auditor specialist. For the past I'd say 7 years I've really been struggling to stay on top of my weight. Honestly,so far I've failed at having any type of control of my health. After I graduated high school,I ended a longterm relationship which of course had a negative affect on my weight. That same year I met my now, fiancé who is the love of my life. For 2 years I maintained a healthy weight until I had my first child. I lost the baby weight with no problem but then I had some emotional problems arise and I became an emotional eater. I've always had a high level of anxiety but I wouldn't consider myself depressed even though it may sound like I am. Well anyway,I found myself gaining more and more weight over the course of a year and then I found out that we were expecting another child. My second pregnancy was rough,I am almost 100% certain that it was because of the weight I had gained. My son was born a preemie at 33weeks but he came out perfectly healthy (thank God!) My son just had his first birthday and I haven't lost a lb. but instead,I've gained about 20.I am so ashamed of myself and I just want to get back to a healthy weight and learn to be more health conscious but it's hard doing it alone. I feel that I would really benefit from the support of this website. So (fingers crossed) that it works :)
I wake up every day with the realization that this is it, that there's only one shot at this life and I can either enjoy the ride and live it to its fullest and to my highest potential or I can stay the way I am.
..The only time it's too late to change yourself is when you're dead. Until then, you're simply making excuses or lying to yourself.

Hi! I was a single mom for over 10 years. I guess I am still technically. I have been with my guys for two years now. I hope forever. Anyway, it's a lot of work doing it on your own. Finding enough time in a day to "make it happen". Anyway, good luck to you! Talk to you soon!

Hey! My name is Dani & I'm a "new" mom for the first time in almost 8 years! I have my newest who is just 3 weeks old. Exercise with him can be a pain because we aren't quite on a schedule yet & I'm a walker. I have other activities I do, but I do crave a good walk! My other two children are a son who will be 8 in October & a daughter who turned 13 in June. My guy also has two sons who are 10 & 12. Needless to say, we have a full house! I love playing with the kids, but it'd be a lot easier a little lighter. I'm heavy to begin with, but getting some of that pregnancy weight off it a great start! I look forward to "hanging" out with you guys! Best of luck to everyone!

Hey everyone, I'm Chantal. I'm 21 years old. I'm also the mother of a beautiful and amazing 1 year old daughter, Brielle. I've struggled with an eating disorder in the past. I started off at 215 lbs and went down to 102 lbs because of it. While I was pregnant I was eating healthy and gained the appropriate amount of weight, but once I had Brielle my old habits returned and I lost 60 lbs in the course of 2 and a half months. I currently weigh 138 lbs since I've over come the eating disorder, but I'd like to go down to 115 lbs... the HEALTHY way. My eating habits and exercise routine have been horrible lately and I'd like to change that.

Hi, everyone.
My name is Stephanie, and my son, Jude, will be turning one next weekend! Where has the time gone?! I've always struggled with my weight, and now I have an extra twenty pounds of "baby weight" to drop to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight. Once I'm there, I hope to lose at least another twenty! I know I have a long way to go, but I feel like making this journey public will help me hold myself accountable and stay motivated. I'm excited to be among others with similar goals.

Hi! My name is Morissa. I am 28, and I have a beautiful 19 month old little boy named Jack! After he was born, I lost the weight quickly. However, I recently realized that I weigh more now than I did the day before Jack was born. I joined SparkPeople last week, and I have lost 3 pounds! That is a huge deal for me. I have always been a little overweight, and I have about 38 more pounds to lose. I am excited about getting in shape for the first time in my life!

Hello! I am a 27 year old mother of two. I have a 5 year old daughter and a 5 month old son. Before getting pregnant with my son i was gaining weight like crazy (just comfortable with life i guess). After having my daughter i tried to lose weight but nothing seemed to work for me so i entered my 2nd pregnancy with leftover baby fat from the 1st pregnancy. I was 150 before getting pregnant with my son. I got up to 195 with my pregnancy. I now weigh 164...my goal weight is 125....(thats the weight i was before having my daughter 6 years ago...
I know it wont be easy but im sooooooo determined this time.
Determined to be DETERMINED.......NO EXCUSES!

My name is Brittney. I just had my little boy 6 weeks ago and have been cleared for more than walking! I gained about 43 pounds during pregnancy and have lost 17 of it but now I'm at a stand still. Haven't lost any weight in 2 weeks.
I'v struggled with my weight since I was 8 years old and I'm not finding much support from my hubby who has been blessed with the naturally thin gene. That's where I'm hopping this community can help me out.
I'm working on cutting out all processed foods from my life in hope of improving my over all health and helping to get rid of this last 26 pounds of giggle around my middle!

Hi My name is Heather Bolin. I am a new first time mommy of a beautiful 5 1/2 month old boy. I am a full time college student, and own a small business that I run as well as running a regular job when I'm not in school. Since having my son I have lost 61 pounds (gained 53 with him, tons and tons of fluid) but my wedding is in April of 2013 and I want to look great for my future husband and be confident in myself. I currently am 157 and my goal is 140. Smaller than that for my body type makes me look sick. I come from a big family of big people (see my profile picture, my brothers wedding 2 months ago) who are not very healthy and supportive and my fiance's family are large people also, and he is a man, he thinks I look great no matter what. Ladies I'm sure you understand, it's about how you feel. In search of support to lose that last weight!!!!

Hi my name is Ashley and I am a new mommy to a beautiful 5 month old baby girl. Before I got pregnant, I was on a diet and trying to lose all the weight I had gained after my wedding and honeymoon. I couldn't figure out why my diet wasn't working until I discovered that I was pregnant! After the baby was born, my baby weight fell off within a month, however now it's at a stand still and I want to lose anywhere from 25-35 lbs. My goal is to lose 25 lbs by Christmas and be a whole new person come the new year. I also would like to change all of my eating habits for my daughter so that I have more energy to play with her and teach her to embrace a healthy lifestyle. I am hoping to make friends who are in the same boat as I am and to have that support to keep me strong through this process.

Hi all! My name is Candi. I have a four year old and a three week old. Both boys. Before I got pregnant I had lost 80 pounds. I gained about 24 pounds with this pregnancy and have lost 16 at this point. I had a c section so right now I'm waiting to get back to the gym another week or so. Looking forward to meeting new people while getting weight loss and parenting support! :)

Well, hello!!! My name is Tina and I have 4 beautiful children. I have a 12 year old step son, and 3 daughters 8, 5, and 2 months. They are the light of my being. I need to get healthy for them so I can live a long life keeping up with them. Also for myself so I'm happier and healthier for the things I want to do.
I have found that the routine I wanted to stick to has proven to be quite difficult with a baby who never sleeps during the day. She is awake at 6-8ish and up almost all day. I have a wii active program that I attempted to stick too, but I can't do it when the baby is awake.
Instead, I have decided to try and at least get a good walk in with the kiddos every day. I realize that once the two older kids start school again, but ahhhh. I actually find myself not having the time to even eat most days. Thankfully when I do, it's healthy and I have lost 3 lbs in 2 weeks. So I'm doing it....just not the way I want.
Any suggestions?
Oh, also, I have been on SP for 2 weeks and actually haven't made any friends lol. I need that support. I know I need it from past attempts and fails. I'm serious this time so...please someone help me!!! Desperate much? LOL :)

Hey Everybody!
My son turned one at the end of May and I made it to my 1 year breastfeeding goal! When I was nursing him and I'd try to diet, my milk supply would plummet, so I eventually just stopped trying. We're still nursing 2-3 times a day, but I think he's starting to self-wean as he doesn't want his morning nursing anymore.
I'm looking forward to getting back to my old self and having the energy to run around after him!

6 weeks ago (tomorrow) I finally met my beautiful baby boy face to face. I lost 10lbs the day of delivery and a total of 20lbs by the end of that week, but sadly it didn't stay gone so now I'm working on my pregnancy weight and once that's gone I'd like to get rid of the extra I was carrying before conceiving.
I never want to hear "Well you're at home all day, you have plenty of time to workout" ever again! Too many people don't seem to understand just how busy life with a newborn (and his older brothers) is. I also don't want to hear "It took you 9 months to put it on, so it should take that or longer to take it off."

Hi everyone! I am 29 mom of a beautiful daughter who just turned one. After having her the weight melted off pretty quickly and I was back in my pre pregnancy clothes rather quickly. Now Im trying to get back to my pre married weight which is not coming off as easily. I work full time so its hard to stay healthy, but I know if I set my mind to it I can do it. I have started jogging a couple times a week, I really want to get my self to a point where I can run a 5k. I also want to be able to wear a swim suit on vacation in december without wanting to cover it up with a tshirt and shorts. I want to be healthy for my daughter!

Hey all! My name is Tonya, 23, and a mother to a beautiful 4 month old daughter! I am ready to make a change and get this weight off! Before I got pregnant, I told my husband I wanted to lose weight but that didnt happen--the day I found out I was pregnant I weighed 190. The day I gave birth, I weighed 226. I am currently around 200. My weight has always been up and down but I have never been this big. I am ready and motivated to get this weight off so I can feel better about myself and be better for my family!

Hi I am Nessa. I am married for 8 years and have two children. My daughter is 2 1/2 and my son is 4 weeks old. I didn't work on getting back in shape after my first baby until she was almost none months old and it took me a while to get back in shape. Not too soon after I have made my fitness goals (most of them), we decided to expand the family.
I don't want to wait as long this time to get back into shape. I am trying to find a rhythm with two instead of just one... and it is tough. Hoping this will keep me focussed and on track. (And remind me to stop eating my toddlers gold fish!)

Hi! my name is Corinna, I am a mom of a beautiful 8 month old babygirl. I am a working mom and I have a LOVING man who's a great father and supporter. I have been struggling with weight loss for a while now, although I am only 22 years old, It began when I went to college and stopped playing all of the sports i played in high school. I have put on 40lbs in 5 years and am completely depressed :( My man is extremely skinny! and although he supports me and loves me to death, I really want to get slimmer not only for myself but for him and my daughter.

Hi, I'm Sue. I've got a son who's 3 1/2, and a daughter who just turned 15 months. I over-ate with my second pregnancy, just like I did with my first one, and ended up 10 lb higher than pre-pregnancy weight by the time my daughter turned a year old. And then I stopped breastfeeding and gained another 5 lb in 3 months, not good at all. I'm starting on SparkPeople today and want to get my body back on track. Looking forward to getting support to help me get there.

Hello. I think I'm the first man that has posted on here. LOL. My name is Gabriel and I am a new father. My wife, Courtney and I have been married for 10 years and had our first child on Feb. 2, 2012. Her name is Emmalyn. We call her Emma. She is our miracle child. We had so many problems in the past with miscarriages and then it got to a point that we were giving up on children. We even started considering adoption. But thankfully, God gave us this beautiful little girl that has just been the light of our lives. I am currently using the "Insanity" workout to reach my goal of weight loss and then plan to start "P90X" afterwards.

Hi Everyone! My name is Samantha and I am new to Spark People. I am 25 years old and I have a 9 month old son, Xander. I have a wonderful husband who I have been married to for almost 2 years. We've been together since we were 18. We both played sports in high school and were in great shape but now since we don't play sports anymore, we have both gained some weight. I have never been this heavy in my life and I plan to loose it. I am currently 213 and would like to get back down to 145. I haven't been that size since high school but I would definitely like to see myself back at that weight. I am taking part in a Boot Camp (3 days a week) right now and I have been doing it for a month so far. I love it and I hope that it helps me to loose what I want. My problem is food. I love to cook and I love to eat, I just can't seem to stick with the healthy things that I know I should be eating more of. I want to teach my son healthy habits so I would like to start now. I am looking forward to meeting friends and getting encouragment from my new SparkFriends! :)
