My name is Amy. I just recently turned 31. I am married to my high school sweetheart Neil. June was our 11th anniversary. I am a mom of 2. My son Connor is 6 1/2 years old and my daughter Vada will be 6 months old on January 3rd. I am an Operations Manager at a little retail store.
I had lost some weight shortly after I had my daughter but it seemed like once I went back to work it all came back then some. I was/am focusing so much on my daughter and son I kinda forgot about me a little bit. I feel I am now ready to start focusing a little bit more on myself and get me back to where I was before my little girl came. Not expecting to rush into anything though because I am going to have to figure out how to balance work, home, baby/kid, and exercise. It was so easy when it was just my son because he can do a lot of stuff himself...not so much with a 6 month old....lol.
But that is all...Sorry I seemed to almost write a novel...ha ha.

hello, my name is Donna. I am the mother of Ainsley..She is 17 months old...she is the only kid i have..i love her with every ounce of my being. I am an overweight mom that had a very smooth pregnancy until after the baby was born..i had pulminary adema after i gave birth to ainsley by c section. It took about 2 weeks to recover fully. I was very disapointed because I was looking forward to breastfeeding and I couldnt because of the antibiotics I was on. I currently have a new full time job that requires mostly sitting..I am very excited about my job because it allows me to be home with Ainsley at night and the weekends as well..i am not however excited about the sitting most of the time. I served tables for 9 years and I am used to be on my feet and I liked the steady fast pace of the restaurant...the downfalls there is the food being around you constantly and the lack of time I had with my daughter. I need to find the motivation to get up and move..ahhhh!!!

Hi im Shelly a FTM to my precious baby boy Charlie who is 8 weeks old! I am getting back into being more active again. I experienced a lot of sickness and hospitalization while pregnant so I gain more then recommended and was down in the dumps so I didnt do much. But all is better now and I am back at it! :) My goal is to be 130 and right now I am at 186. I exclusively breastfeed and will be pumping when I start my new job next week. I love my baby and cant imagine life without him. My husband and I would like more kids but next one wont even beginning being thought of til Charlie is probably 1. So I have 10 months to get to where I want to be before I even start thinking about another baby. I want to be as healthy as I can so I dont have a repeat of this pregnancy with all the sicknesses. Right now I am just walking at it has helped a lot! I know it wont always be this easy but when it slows I will add more. Having an emergency section I am trying to just ease my way back into things!

I'm Ashley, a FTM to my baby boy, Chuck who just had his 4 month check up this week! I lost a good amount of weight in preparation to get pregnant several years ago and was at a good weight for me, but not my goal weight when I got pregnant. So I've got about 20 pounds to loose to be back down to pre-pregnancy weight, but about 42 pounds to be at goal. I'm feeling really great about deciding to get healthy so I can chase my baby around as soon as he is mobile! I'm planning to sign up for a 5k in the Fall. I am super slow, but running seems to give me the most bang for my buck, time wise and since I'm working full time, that is the key! I use to love spinning classes, but it's hard to make it at a specific time and to be gone for over an hour from baby. I'm hoping to maybe get to one on a weekend sometime! Glad to be here! :)

I'm Mel, FTM to Sabrina who just went to her 4mo check up today! I was down to a good weight I got pregnant and gained about 36lbs during - not too bad, but I still have about 10 to go to get back to my pre-preg wt. When I got pregnant I was working out 6 days a week and mostly kept that up until I was put on bed rest at 31 wks. Now I am just starting to get back to exercise as I have really struggled to work it into our new schedule.

Hi. My name is Christine and my third girl is 2 mo. I also have a 4 and 7 year-old. After my first was born I got into great shape by counting calories and exercising. My friendships with community members (another board) helped greatly. The second child came and I tried the old tricks but didn't have much companionship. Hoping to change that this time around. To complicate matters, now I'm 40 and have to remind myself that what worked back then might not work now. For one thing my calorie target is much lower. But I'm off to a great start and just need to keep it up. Give me a shout for mutual encouragement. I would like some friends to cheer on as we get in better shape.

I've been a member a long time, but haven't been active in a few years. Well, I just had my 3rd baby. I'm 1 week postpartum and am back as I'm thinking about getting back in shape.
I'm feeling a bit impatient, knowing I still have a few weeks to wait before I can start exercising again. I've lost a LOT of muscle during this pregnancy. I only have 7 lbs to lose before I'm at my pre-pregnancy weight, but since I lost a lot of muscle, I gained a lot more fat.
But I've got my gorgeous baby boy, and I'm happy to be here.

Hi everyone! My name is Sarah and I am new mommy to a handsome 2 month old baby boy, AJ. I didn't gain too much weight during my pregnancy, but I had about 40 pounds to lose before I got pregnant. I lost what I gained during pregnancy within the first 3 weeks, so I am still looking to lose the previous 40 pounds. I am back to work now and my job is hectic at times, which leads to a lot of lunches on the go and late nights. I am trying to figure out how to get working out back into my life as well. I am hoping that this team will help me stay focused and find new tips on how to juggle everything. Looking forward to getting to know everyone! -Sarah

Hello! My name is Jess and I'm a 31 year old mom to a 12 week old baby girl. We've had a bit of a rough go - she has colic and has had latching issues so I'm reluctantly formula feeding her. I feel like I can't escape the "baby blues"! So, here I am sparking after a long break. I gained 30 pounds during my pregnancy and lost it within the first two weeks postpartum. I wasn't very healthy when I got pregnant, so here I am trying to lose the weight I should've lost before. I am ashamed to say I'm 180 pounds. My goal is to weigh 150 by September. From there, my ultimate goal would be to weigh 130-140 pounds.

Hello, my name is Kortney.
I am 22 years old and a first time mama to a 6 going on 7 week old little boy named Monty. He is the most perfect little boy I could ever dream of. I guess you can say I am here because not only do I need to get back into shape but I also need support in balancing life.
I am not new to Sparkpeople but new to this SparkTeam and I admit I have fallen off the bandwagon so much. Yesterday, I took one look at my son and decided enough is enoough. It was time to essentially start a new beginning. In addition to my goals, I have decided to return to school for Nursing and return to my home state with my family next year.
As of current, I am 154 lbs. I am hoping to reach my goal of 130 by September 1st, 2013.

Hello! My name is Sam and i am the mama to a 10 week old beautiful baby girl. She is the best thing to happen to my husband and I.
I gained 36lbs during pregnancy and have dropped all but 3lbs, but prior to pregnancy I was trying to drop 15lbs. So as of right now I'm aiming for 18lbs...I'm hoping once I return to work it will be easier to get back in shape, but we will see.

Hi, my name is Addie and I am a first time momma to a 5 month old boy. He is a joy and a challenge but well worth it. I have struggled with my weight nearly all of my life. I was able to gain no more than the 20 lbs recommended by my doctor during my pregnancy and within 4 weeks was back to my pre-pregnancy weight. Now my goal is to loss around 100 lbs to be at a healthy weight so I can be a better me and a better mom. As it is right now I tire easily so lossing weight and being able to keep up with my boy and be a good role model are my long term goals.

Hi. I am first time mommy with a 3.5 month old son. I rejoined sparkpeople after using it to successfully lose weight a couple of years ago. I am ready to get this baby weight off and get back to my exercise and running routine. That is, if I can get some sleep and find the time first!

Hi everyone! I'm Angie. I have a daughter, Ariana who is 8 and a son Dexter who is almost 6 months old. I just rejoined SP after about a year and a half. I didn't gain a lot of weight this time around and it has all come off. The problem is I didn't lose the weight I gained with my first. Still looking to lose about 45 pounds and tone up a bit. I'm looking forward to being a part of this group. I find that being a new mom again has been more motivation than ever to get into shape. Have a great day!

Hi, I am Lavanya. I have a son who is 1 and half years old. I have been having a constant weight problem after my 20's. I have gained around 8 kgs after pregnancy and it is very difficult to lose all the extra weight. I have joined this team to motivate myself in getting back to shape and being the best mom possible.I am on anti anxiety medication which adds to my weight gain. However I am confident I will reach my goal very soon.

My name is Trina - This is baby #5 for me. I'm due next week and I've stuck with SparkPeople through my entire pregnancy so that I stay on track. I've been a SP member for over a year now and I'm getting really excited to be able to get back into a fitness routine soon.
I have 4 boys already (aged 11, 10 and 2 yr old twins) and this one is expected to be a girl (but we're ready either way. I was working from home running my own Private Daycare but obviously it's closed down for a couple months right now with the intention of starting back up in late June, early July.
I have a fairly solid plan in place with a deadline that cannot be moved. This is actually good for me since I'm a huge procrastinator. I'm hosting a 5K in my town this Nov to raise funds to help our local food bank out for the Christmas Hampers. We've used their help a few times in the past. There were 2 Christmas's we couldn't afford much and they helped us put gifts under the tree and Christmas dinner on the table. This is my way of paying it forward =] Plus it also gives me a chance to get into shape and to stick to it. Since it's my 5K I can't back out LOL. My goal is to not have to walk at all during the race but I'm just happy to be a part of a great cause and to finally do my 1st 5K so if I need to walk for a bit I won't be totally disappointed.
Currently I'm seeing a counsellor and a dietician to help me along my journey. I have a lot of people that "support" me, but I find that they're more of the type that are just really there as a friend or family member that's aware that I'm want to get healthy and get back into shape. With having the twins I have a hard time getting out and being social so I depend on message boards on SP to keep me motivated. I'm looking forward to being a part of this team and getting to know a lot of you =]

Hi, I'm Marina, I have a 15 month old daughter. I first joined SparkPeople several years ago and lost 20 pounds and ran my first 10k, but have really fallen off the exercise wagon since I got pregnant. I'm 5 pounds over my pre-pregnancy weight now (thank you breastfeeding!) but I feel really out of shape and want to take up running again. My husband and I are talking about having our second soon, and I know I'll be really disappointed in myself if another pregnancy and infant keeps me from running for another two years. So I want to get back in the exercise habit before getting pregnant. My big challenge is my daughter has never slept through the night, and usually wakes up at least 2-4 times a night. So getting up the energy to wake up early and go running has been really hard. I'm hoping that now is the time I turn this around and would really appreciate support from others who are in the same boat. :)

I'm Holly. I'm 23 and I'm a new mommy to my little girl, Ivy. We call her Kitty. She is almost 7 weeks old now. (Time is flying by!) and I'm ready to start getting myself together. I was over weight before I had her after suffering from a deep depression for several years. It took us 3 years to get pregnant and I thought it was never going to happen for us. I had completely given up when I found out I was going to be a Mommy! I was back down to my pre-pregnancy weight within a week of her birth but it's no where near where I need to be. I won't be on daily because I don't have internet at home yet, but I will be on every few days. I'm looking for friends with children around the same age so we can keep up with each other and motivate each other. I NEED to get healthy so I can be a good Mommy to my little miracle.

Hi eveyone! My name is Whitney and I am the mother of 2 amazing girls: a 4 year old and an 18 month old. This is my first time joining Spark People.
Until about 3 years ago (after my 1st child), I tried Weight Watchers to get that extra 15-20pounds off that I had always had on after high school. Weight watchers was helpful in helping me understand the importance of nutrition, healthy choices, and I did lose the weight!
Alas, my comfort is food. So what do I do under stress of finishing grad school, getting pregnant again, having 3 losses in my life, as well as moving 600 miles away from family for my job after the birth of my 2nd child? You guessed it, turn to food...
So, despite my rationalizing and telling myself I don't care how much weight I have gained, here I am. I want to forge through the hardship and self-pity of choosing to live away from my family and friends and to get myself back to healthy living. My husband and I have already changed our eating-out habits and look forward to checking out some gym memberships (now that we have extra room in the budget). I am going to need all the help I can get from SparkPeople! Very thankful for this site already :)

Hi, my name is maria. I have always been overweight since I was about 8 or 9. At 16 I went in for a doctors visit and was told that I had Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome and I would never have children because of that and my weight. My old highest weight was 343 and I was dating a very abusive guy and was not allowed to eat so I lost an unhealthy amount of weight in about 8 months I was down to 300. Once I finally by that grace of God, got out of that relationship and had realized that at 20 years old I had a lot to live for I shed down to 289, I was more active more happy, even at that still high number.
When I was 21 years old I went to urgent care for a kidney infection and the doctor comes in and says you have a kidney infection but don't worry the medicine I am giving you is safe for the baby. I almost fell out in the floor. My whole life I had wanted to be a mommy and after doctor's broke my heart at 16 years old here I was pregnant. I was over the moon. My pregnancy was a difficult one and I gained a lot of weight!!! I went from 289 at 10 weeks of pregnancy to 350 the day I went in for my c-section. When I went back for my check up after having her I was back down to 303 so a lot of it was fluid.
I had post partum which had a lot to do with not wanting her out of my site and not being able to breast feed well. She was tongue tied at birth so they had to fix that. She was also born with several holes in her heart and enlarged aorta so the Dr told me to watch her like a hawk and that I did.
God has been good to us because she is now 2 years old and so wonderfully smart and funny. We are still battling health problems with her little heart but she has over come so much already she is truly my inspiration.
I weighed last week and was 362.7 my highest weight in my life and I am only 24. It scared me, because for the first time in my life I have something to truly live for and I am being selfish by being this over weight. I joined the biggest loser challenge on here GO TEAM BLUE!!! and I weighed Friday and was down to 357.6. I am making little goals for myself and pray that I can really do this. I need to get healthy for me and I am doing this for me! I deserve it and so does my baby girl!!

Hi. My name is Emily. I am a mommy to 2 wonderful kids. My sone is 3 (almost 4) and my daughter is 9 months. I am 26 and a full time professional with the university here in KS. After about a year at home with my son I started to diet and workout and lost about 40 lbs. About a week after losing all that weight I found out I was pregnant and gained it all back plus some with that pregnancy. My daughter was breech so I had a csection with her. Now I am at probably one of the heaviest weights I have ever been and I am looking to get healthy. My goal is to lose 1-2 lbs a week until August. I would love to be at 155-150 by then. I am eating healthy. I have cut our most of the sugars from my diet. I also started TurboFire. Its hard for me to find time to workout so I am not really following the schedule right now. I have been switching between the Fire 30 and HITT 15. Anyway, thats a little about me.
I don't want to lose the fat, I have no intention of finding it. I want to get rid of it.

Hello everyone! My name is Jade. I am a mom of 3 kiddos ages 8, 5, and 1 year. I am a sahm for now. I own 2 of my own companies so I'm pretty productive and both allow me to stay home and be with my kids. I am pretty active. I had a hard last pregnancy and was on bed rest from July 2011 until I delivered December 8, 2011. So basically I just laid in bed and did nothing by raid my mini fridge and watch tv for 5 months. My was finally born at 37 weeks and was healthy so we made it through it!! And he was definitely worth it!! I joined the gym in February 2012 and lost all my baby weight plus more by July 2012. My doctor said my weight range was between 155 and 165 and I was 159 last time I weighed in so I made it. I love Zumba and bar bell classes and weight training. I am at my healthy weight but I still feel like I need to tone up more and loose the rest of my flab on my arms and stomach and other areas so that is why I joined you all. I would like to see myself around 145 but I'm not sure if that's a realistic goal or not for my height (I'm 5'9") but we shall see. I'm happy with my weight and size but I really want to tone more so I'm gonna keep going. I want to get my Zumba instructor certification so that is what I am shooting for. :)

Hey everyone! I Just joined the group :) About 5 years ago I used sparkpeople to help me lose 60 lbs...during my pregnancy I gained it all back, plus some! My little one is 9 months old and although I have lost some of the weight on my own, I'm ready to work harder to get the rest of this weight off. So I rejoined spark people yesterday :)

Hey everyone! I'm also a new mom of a 2 month old. CoolMOM22 I'm also from Texas!
I have been a member of Sparkpeople for a while, and my weight has fluctuated off and on. I actually weigh less than I did when I first got pregnant, but I was overweight before my pregnancy so now that I got the clear to exercise again I want to continue trying to get in shape and get healthier. Now, I have even more of a reason to, for my little one.
I'm loving being a mother! My challenge has always been trying to find the time to exercise, and that's still a challenge now even though I'm now working from home. I'm breastfeeding too which also seems to make things more challenging. Sometimes I feel he's hungry all the time! *lol* Right now, it seems the best time for me to get work done is late late at night/early morning, but depending on the amount of sleep, when I have time varies. I still have to meet with clients during the day so I can't always work those hours only. We're trying to get a routine going! I'm hoping I can find some good advice and support here since this is my first time being a parent and I'm learning as I go.
Motivation wise, well I have the best motivation in the world now so let's see how things pan out this time! I'm happy to be a part of this team and look forward to getting to know other parents/members.

Hi everyone! I am a first time mom to an adorable 2 month old son, Liam. I joined sparkpeople to find the motivation I need to get rid of the pesky baby pounds that won't come off so easily! I took out my fall/winter clothes last week and I can't fit into most of them yet. I don't want to purchase a new wardrobe for a size I don't want to be in! Seems like a total waste of money! I enjoy jogging and have started up again a week ago. Slow start, but a start nonetheless. I'll only be able to run on weekends when my husband is home to watch Liam, so during the week I'll have to pull out some DVDs to use while Liam is napping. I've got The Firm and Jillian Michael's 30 day shred. It would be great to have a buddy to go on this journey with! Good luck to everyone!

Hello, my name is Heather. I had my son Trysten 4 months ago and I have been slowly off and on working on getting my baby weight off. I finally made it back down to my pre-pregnancy weight. But it wasn't a healthy weight to begin with. I have problems with losing interest or motivation in my weight loss history. The only time I did lose a lot of weight was when I got my braces in high school. I would be overjoyed if I could get back down to that size. I wasn't super skinny, but I wasn’t depressed to go clothes shopping. Last night was what made me realize what I should do and what important. My son, I want to be able to keep up with him and show by example that health is important and maintaining it.

Hello everyone. My name is Christina and I decided to join today after stepping on a scale. I had my first baby at the end of July, his name is Opie. I'm excited about being a mom, but really want to be able to keep up with him as he gets older. I used to work out religiously, but admittedly got lazy once I found out I was pregnant and I have stayed that way since.
I'm moving to Nashville November 1 and really won't have a strong support system down there. I'd love to meet some people on here and use these boards to really help with my motivation.

Hi everyone. My name is Tyleena. I am a new first time mom to a beautiful little girl. She is almost 7 months old now, born April 04. I have been overweight for a long time and have tried several times to lose the weight and get in shape but never culd stick with it and stay motivated but now it's not just for me; I really want to get in shape to be the best mommy I can be.
I have been under a lot of stress lately and am trying to find the help and support I need to take care of myself so I can take care of my daughter. Mostly I need someone to be accountable to and call me on it when I don't do what I said I would. I have a friend/co-worker who is making goals with me and we are trying to support and push eachother but we could both use all the support and pushes we can get ;) And I hope I will be helpful and supportive to everyone on here as well. Thank you for allowing me to join this group.

Hi everyone! I'm Chrissy. I am a mommy to 3 week old Dillon, 6 year old Ryan, 7 year old Samantha, 11 year old Summer, and 13 year old Megan. I have been overweight for a majority of my life with little few month intervals of being at target weight throughout my 20's. I decided that since Dillon was my last child, I want to get back into shape. I want to be happy and healthy so I can keep up with all of my kids. Especially the demands of a little one.
My short term goal is to get below 200. I am hovering 231-234 right now. My long term goal is 160ish. I may never see 140 again and I am okay with that. I do want to be well below 200 for the first time in 9 years. That would be fantastic!!!!

Hi I'm new to spark, I'm looking to get great tips from other moms on here on getting healthy. I have a 7 month old daughter, who keeps me going every day. I recently lost my father, so finding motivation to get outside and exercise with my daughter (stroller) has been hard but something I'm going to try and over come.

Hi everyone I'm Justine and I am a 25 year old Mother, Student, Homemaker & Office Employee. I have 3 daughters; Jocelyn 4, Aubrey 2 and Elayna 2 months. They keep me busy and on top of caring for them and all my duties at home as a mother and fiance I go to school part time and work part time. I was raised on ramen noodles, soda & TV dinners so finding healthy foods I actually enjoy is a challenge for me. It's nice to meet everyone looking forward to being part of this team!

Hi, I'm Tara, Im 19 years old and just had my first baby on Sept. 2nd. I gained about 70 pounds during my pregnancy and honestly wasn't really comfortable with my body before I got pregnant so I really just want to loose the weight so I can feel good about myself. I don't have very much time for myself because I go to work, go to school and take care of my baby. I love my food which is why I think loosing weight has always been hard for me but I'm determined to loose my weight this time because I really want to feel good about myself.

Hello, I am Brittie and a mother to soon to be one year old daughter name Lily and a stepmom to a seven years old girl name Sky. I got pregnant with Lily in December, not even knowing until I was five months pregnant (YES THAT LONG TO SHOW). Fortunately, I was eating healthy until strange cravings hit me. I gained about 40 pounds that I would love to lose by spring. I need all the motivation and the support I need.
I have facebook also...

Hi! Im Brandie, I am 21 and a mother to 3 beautiful baby boys ages 2, 16 months, and 4 months on the 29th. I am getting married in March and need help and encouragement losing weight. I got pregnant with my first son in November of '09 and had him in July of '10 I only gained 12lbs with him due to a TON of stress and lost all of it and more when I had him. My second son ruined my body, lol. Its ok though cause I love him! I was borderline diabetic with him and got up to 165. I had him April 19th '11 and got pregnant with my third son in September weighing 145 and when I had him in May I weighed 157. I probably weigh 150 now. Its not super bad but I am also only 5'2" so it looks as though I weigh more. Hoping to be 115 at the least by my wedding in March. Super excited for this journey and hoping this site helps me to be more in touch with diet and exercise. :)

Hey Everyone! My name is Shay and I'm a (for now) SAHM of 3. Braydon, my athlete (9 next week), Addison, my diva (5 in December) and Braxton, my new guy (2 weeks old, born 9/5/2012). Before getting pregnant with Braxton, I literally lived in the gym, working out 2-3 hours a day, 6 days a week. I absolutely can not wait to get back to that point again! Right now, being only 2 weeks postpartum, my activity level is somewhat limited (just starting to put in some daily miles via walking).. but getting better every day. I plan to start jogging/running 4 weeks postpartum. Right now, I'm really trying to focus and redirect my eating habits. I used my pregnancy with this little guy as a hall pass and cheated on my diet, A LOT, gaining 30 pounds (not a terrible amount).. But now I have about 15 pounds of baby fat to lose! I know it'll be a cake walk (for lack of better terms) once I get my head back in the game and more than 5 hours of sleep a night. :) I'm super pumped to get healthy and fit again, since I really do pride myself on being a 'hot mom', haha and I'm going back to work as a trainer come January 2013 (I should at least somewhat look the part, right?!)
I'm excited to meet some new people and see what this site/group is all about on my way. Feel free to

Hi Everyone, I had my first baby 5 months ago and now back to SP trying to get back into being active. I was working full time before but now staying home, my work was very active mostly being on my feet on the go for 12hrs. Staying active is getting to be a challenge. I've started doing 5-10minutes exercises in the house and when hubby is home I do treadmill for at least 25 minutes, this is not consistent.. I'm also Breast feeding so I can't really cut my calories much, but I have to stop my waist inches from creeping up.

Hello everyone, my name is samantha and I am the mother of a 7 month old baby. I am working on becoming healthier, and lose some weight, for my child. I want her to be healthy also. I find it difficult sometimes to workout with her, because I am a stay at home mother, and have no time to myself. I do take her for walks, and she loves the outdoors.
