I believe the hardest part of this change is creating a new pattern in an already hectic life. I found that in order to continue, I needed to start off slow. Don't overdue the workout in the beginning, for two reasons. First you may be disenchanted with the way it makes you feel and what I mean by that is your body is soar and tired all at once. If you start off slow the pain isn't as extreme. Second, we all know that having small children is a workout in itself. Don't tire to quickly because the children may suffer your attention due to being tired. Just simple thoughts. I have also found that when I get hungry I will divert my attention to my kids. Maybe read a book to your kids, take them on a short walk, any activity, with the kids, that will distract the hunger. I 'use' my kids for the distraction because they are more important than my addict to food. Hope this helps a bit. Good luck!
I am a 41 year old working mother with 3 children, 2 boys and a new baby girl- 51/2 years old, 4 years old and 7 months old. I just joined SP and I was really excited to see that there was a group that had my kind of people. My husband and I are are not having any more children and I made a promise once we had our last child I would start getting healthy so I can be around for these three beautiful children. I hope to get motivated by each of you and hopefully can inspire you as well. I am on day one of my new life and I am already sore from working out and starving-any suggestions???
