Tadduni- Killer Buns & Thighs is hard. Getting to level 2 is something you should be seriously proud of! Tough workouts!

When I did the 30 DS I stuck with doing each level for a month (or so) and only did it 5 days a week. By the time I got to level 3 I felt pretty strong and was able to do most of the advanced moves instead of the modified version. I did do the cardio (even though it about killed me!).

I'm on Day 17 of the 30DS. Level 2 is tough but I'm hanging in there! Do others do the 30DS straight through or take rest days in between? Are you doing other cardio as well? I walk a mile over lunch at work but that's it besides the shredding since it's so dark here now at night. Open to suggestions!

I'm still here. I haven't been very good about logging ANYTHING but i am still following the guidelines! I made it to level 2 of Killer Buns and Thighs but i don't see myself getting to level 3 anytime soon. I've been switching things up every day now because I need to shake up this metabolism. I even went back to doing 30DS on some days!

I decided to add some Leslie Sansone Walk at Home to my routine. Right now I'm still alternating KB&T with NMTZ and it's going good. I hope to move to level 2 by the start of November with KB&T!

Well, the sickness bug has hit my house :( I've been down and out since thursday with a nasty chest cold. Today I felt good enough to do my NMTZ but I am completely wiped out now!

I still have this stupid cold it went right to my chest this time uggh but I can say it is finally clearing up I have been staying on track with eating and I am so proud of myself ,,, Now to get this body back to moving! Going to take one more rest day then start again monday slow and steady wins the race :)

Tadduni, level 2 is closer each day. Remember that. And I'm sure there was a day when you wouldn't have even attempted level 1? You are doing mighty. Keep up the great work :) I'm alternating ripped in 30 level 2 and 6 week 6 pack level 1 this week. It's going well.

I know first hand that lack of sleep keeps your immune system down. It's so hard to get healthy when you're not sleeping. Trying to get in exercise in while all of that is going on is super hard! Every little bit helps and just know that once you are healthy again, there will be no stopping you!

I'm still plugging away at my two favorite workouts, KMTZ and KB&T. I don't think I will ever make it off of level 1 in KB&T though. I'm still struggling with it big time. Level 2 seems so far, far away!

Way to keep at it!!

Still have this stupid cold and my daughter is deciding to wake up at 1130 when i get home from work for some mommy and baby time... yaaay I am getting next to no sleep and this cold just keeps on dragging. I do get my spurts of energy and do a 10 min spark video or simply just stretch and breathe but honestly I feel like I am going to have to start allll over and I am depressed as all get out about it!

how is little one liking school? Such a great time I can't wait (ok maybe I can)

LINDAT1970, you poor thing! There is nothing more frustrating then actually wanting to work out and your body won't let you! I am bracing for impact because my daughter just started Kindergarten so I know sickness will be here soon!

I'm really enjoying alternating between NMTZ and KB&T. I feel like I'm getting more of an all over workout. I need to get back in the habit of logging everything in. I tend to start adding more calories to my day when I don't hold myself accountable!

This week has been hectic. My oldest daughter started kindergarten *sniff* and the buses have been running late. Today I was finally able to work in NMTZ into my routine. IT HURT!!!! It's amazing how quickly my body forgets some of these moves. Tomorrow will be KB&T and Monday will start a new rotation.

WAY TO GO LADIES!!!

Doing walking and running intervals to get back to that running girl I used to be! Loving it and doing it when I have time of course! This summer should have been the best but instead I am overworked and incredibly tired. Kids go back to their moms this week and then work will be interesting as I have applied for another job within the company at my location at home ... cross your fingers as life is going to be rather interesting for awhile that's for sure! I am thrilled at the thought of moving back home to be with my family and friends again... I feel I have been in a box for the past 3 years and now its time to break freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee :)

hello All!
On Saturday, I tried Hard Body for the first time. Yowee! That was a work OUT! I couldn't do all the transitions very smoothly, but it will get better with time, just like all the other Jillian Workouts.

I do like Killer Buns & Thighs. That's a good one. I should give Killer Abs a try again. Haven't tried that one in a while.

Yesterday, I did a little jogging interval with the Week 4 Day 3 of the Couch To 5k program. I'm scheduled to do my first 5k on October 20th, so I've got to get that done!!

Linda, I feel your pain with those 12 hour shifts. That's what I do myself but only work 2 days one week and 5 the next thank God. I hate when my 12 hour day starts in the morning because I can never get up early to work out so end up having to do it in the evening when I get home when all I really wanna do is sit and relax after a long day. When I'm on 12 hour nights I always get a workout in before I leave and then can go straight to bed when I get home. Still rocking the slim programme. How is the killer buns going Tadduni?

The scale has grudgingly moved down a pound for me, putting me in the next bracket. I am so happy!

Thanks Ali. I didn't get to do days 5 and 6 on Saturday and Sunday so I done banish fat boost metabolism last night and I hope to get the quick trouble zones and level 1 shred done when I get home tonight. Will be back to normal then. I'm hoping for good results with this. I got great results doing just the shred last year. Didn't get the scale down but was down a dress size which counts the most to me. What are you doing yourself at the moment?

Tadunni you body may be used to the same kind of exercise .. maybe try adding a bit more cardio without weights in addition to what you are doing. That is what I had to do to finally get that scale to move. :) Keep at it tho because if you are losing inches you are still doing something right! :)

I am thinking of a fall plan for myself .. so hard to believe summer is over and with all the issues that have hindered my progress I need to get at it and make the fall months my toughest yet. I am really looking forward to it ... I may start up my Body Rev and start running again. Walking just isn't cutting it for me and I would rather run a half and hr than walk for 2 hrs haha Plus my body is telling me to GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!


Any ideas on a fall plan ?

Well I decided to do the 30 day slim down and today was no more trouble zones for me. It was harder than I remember from last time I did it. My abs definitely felt the pain but it's all good. Tadduni, I wouldn't worry too much about the scales. Inch loss is much better in my book. The scales were never my friend while exercising.

Hello All,

I was away again this weekend and didn't get home until last night so today is day 1 for me. I decided I will do this week on KB&T and then next week I will alternate with NMTZ. i'm hoping the combination will get that blasted scale to move DOWN!!!!! I can't complain too much because I am losing inches but it would really be nice if I could move down into the next number bracket!

Ouch you have me hurting too! I am going to get back to it this week after two weeks of too much overtime and a week of running for the passing of my father in law... I am going to shock this body into getting back into shape! HAHA this is going to be fun... Well done for completing 5 days of killer buns. I have tried that workout myself before but never stuck to it. I am just finishing ripped in 30 this week and trying to decide what to start next. Might try killer buns with no more trouble zones and banish fat boost metabolism or six week six pack thrown in.

Your poor mother! She is very lucky to have you :) I know the exercise will make you feel good, it may be really tough at first but you will be amazed at how your body changes!

I did Day 2, Level 1 of Killer Buns and Thighs. I actually cried a little, that's how hard this is for me! I am doing almost all the exercises modified and it's still crazy hard! I just have to remember that's how I started 30 Day Shred and now I can do it with the advanced moves.

Have had to delay my start, but may be starting today. My mother broke her back, took care of her myself at home for four days before sending her back to hospital (I am a nurse by trade). Been a big load, but I will try to start today,as the exercise will do me good.

Hello everyone!

I am looking forward to starting the 30 day shred, which I have not received from Amazon. I need the time though, to recover from a bout of total body swelling. 3 days ago, I checked the scale, and I weighed in at a hefty 198, where my weight at the doctor on 7/22 was 177! The doctors think it may have been a medication reaction, or a flare of a chronic condition I have called lymphangiectasia. (read about it at littleleakers.com). Lymphangiectasia causes the gut to leak protein, and then, when the body hasn't got enough protein, it retains water and the tissues swell. My Primary gave me a diuretic, and my psychiatrist, who thinks it may have been a reaction to Abilify, cut the dose of that drug in half. In any case, in the last three days I have already lost 6 pounds, without dieting. I did have to increase my protein using protein-powder and skim-milk shakes. My protein requirement is now going to be 130g/day, according to my doctor.

So enough of all the medical stuff. I appreciate being able to share all of that with you all, I am agoraphobic and don't leave the house much. I am looking fondly to the day when my DVD arrives in the mail!! Until then, I have some other JIllian Michaels DVDs I can use.

Ya I think my scale is in limbo as well. I love that I can now fit into a size 7-8 depending on the fit ... not bad from a 12 ..6 short months ago! ... Hoping the next 6 months will start shredding the pounds...

Killer Buns and Thighs OWWW!! I know Jillian for sure will make that very painful!

Speak of that my thighs are killing me today but it was totally worth it! :)

I ordered JM Killer Buns and Thighs and will be starting that when it comes in. It looks so scary!!!!! Once I get that routine down I will alternate between NMTZ and that one. The scale is still being stubborn. I just have to remember that I'm losing inches no matter what that stinking scale wants to say!

LINDAT1970, Good for you! That had to feel amazing and I'm sure your body is thanking you for it. I'm still plugging away at my NMTZ and loving every pain in the butt minute of it! I'm going to buy another dvd sometime this week and I will switch over probably mid August. I don't want my body to get too used to NMTZ!

The scale may be moving slow for me but I am VERY happy to report that I am 2 pant sizes down since January!!!!!! I wish I had measured myself in the beginning to see actual numbers. I can only hope that the scale will start moving again!!!!!!

I'm still doing No More Trouble Zones but I think at the end of the month I'm going to change it up again. I'm not sure which Jillian workout I want to do next. I know whatever I pick it's going to be killer!

Ok where did the day go? Um it's 830pm and I haven't exercised today. GUILTY! I started level 2 and my legs are like rubber. I think I should try to do something before bed. I lack motivation in the summer months.

The heat has come down a little, it's still really humid though. I couldn't work out on Friday because the temp was at 105 and I was feeling a little sick from it! I'm back on track today and feeling great!

Hey ladies!!

Took me over a month to really notice a difference as well... But as Tadduni says patience is worth they payout.. Stick to it and define your moves because as you will go onto anything else of Jillian's those Shred moves are a great foundation. I am currently doing Jessica Smith 5 week slimdown and its rather great and more amped up than Jillian's stuff but I love it.... Going to jump into NMTZ after I am done the 5 weeks.

It's my birthday today so I decided to NOT WORKOUT!! WOOHOOT!! But my gift to myself is new shoes and workout clothes! YAAAAY ME!!

WTG Tadduni for sticking to it through this heat. I hate it but think I should have sweated out about 30lbs myself HAHAHA

I think that between the humidity and No More Trouble Zones that I must have lost 5 pounds just from sweating!!!!!! It is miserable. The old me would have used the weather as an excuse not to workout but not the new me!!!!! I feel so accomplished :)

I hope so! Yesterday was day 6...and the first day I didn't have to stop to rest. Now that felt amazing! I have 6 week 6 pack too...was going to do them together but I think it'll be smarter to just do 30DS for the 30 days, then move on to 6W6P so I don't risk an injury from overdoing it

I started to see results around the 1 month mark. I did each level for 1 month because I wanted to be able to do each level without having to modify anything. I didn't measure myself before starting but I could tell just by how my clothes fit! Trust me , if you stick with this you WILL see results!!!!!

New here and still getting the hang of navigating the teams sections... so this is probably somewhere already but.... How long was is until you all SAW results? I just did Level 1 Day 5 yesterday...only missed 1 day so far and am very proud of myself seeing as I hate working out! I FELT different on day 2 and 3 already...still end up having to pause once or twice (usually during circuit 1's cardio ironically) but I'm lasting longer until my legs are just on FIRE and I can't help myself. I am very anxious to SEE changes to my poor postpartum body. I know I'm impatient- but I am already looking because nothing will be more of a motivator than that! Made the mistake of measuring my midsection last night...no change- yet at least!

Do it now- or do it never.

FLEXY33- I did the 30 Day shred for three months. I did each level for a month and then moved on to No More Trouble Zones, which I'm still doing. I work out for 5 days a week and then do some light exercise on the weekend ( usually NOT a Jillian workout!) I think your plan sounds good!

Hi, everyone! I'm new to this board. Thought I would pop in here and ask some questions. How often do you do the Jillian DVD per week?

I was doing it three days per week until May when I developed a sinus infection and didn't do the DVD for a few weeks. Now, I can't seem to get motivated to do it AT ALL. I'm just so tired in the mornings and even though I can get up at 5:30 a.m., I certainly do NOT feel like doing her DVD. When I've done it in the evenings, I feel stronger and it seems as if the workouts are easier (not easy, just easier) than doing them early morning. But, after work, I can also feel drained and not in the mood to do anything. I have to find some motivation.

Since 30 Day Shred only had 3 levels, how long do you stay at level 1 before moving onto level 2? I think I could do level 1 for a week, then do level 2 for two weeks, and finally finish with level 3 in the fourth week. Does that sound like a good plan?

Thanks for any advice/help you can give me!!!

What I like is Youtube has it broken down by circuits if you can do all you can do a bit at a time... I end up doing the whole 55mins and die afterwards LOL :)

Right now I am in love with Jessica Smith.. Easy straight forward workouts check her out at jessicasmithtv.com I am doing the 5 week slim down and mixing it up with some spark videos or some Jillian :)

I'm feeling much better today.........and then I decided to try Banish Fat Boost Metabolism. This has got to be the hardest one I have tried. I might switch it back to NMTZ for a little longer! BFBM also has some complicated moves for a spaz like me. By time I figured the move out she was moving on to the next move!

UGGH that scale can be the death of us can't it?? Well I hope you feel better soon. Mold is such a bad thing... I hope it isn't too bad that it bothers you too much...


Way to stick at it! I know with Jillians workouts I found after awhile I had to do more cardio instead of just the strength training and that really helped change it up and finally made the scale move!

So hard to believe it is July already!! My goal was to lose my 28 by June 30 but oh well I won't kill myself for not achieving it ....I am almost half way so I will just keep plugging away ;) Baby steps

I woke up with a sore throat this morning, blah. That's what I get for trying to help my husband clean up the yard. There was a lot of moldy stuff under the deck and I'm allergic to mold

The scale is at a stand still for me, AGAIN. So very discouraging. I refuse to give up though. I figure it has to start going down again eventually!

OUCH Kathy!! I hope your knee mends soon I know exactly how that feels. Us old foggies love to think we are teenagers still mentally sure but physically pffft ;)

I haven't done much lately other than keep my eating on track... I am thankful the scale hasn't budged so I am super motivated to get back at it. I have been doing a lot of walking and hope that I can get back to body rev asap I sure do miss my good sweaty workouts!

I am proud of you ladies for keeping at it even when your body isn't a 100%. Starting back slowly is the BEST way to do it so that you don't hurt yourself even more.

I did level 3 of 30 Day Shred today. It's amazing how much I can feel the difference between Jillian's different workouts. The cardio is easier for me now then when I first started working out in January but my muscles still feel everything when I change between workouts!

I was wrestling with my son several weeks ago and heard my knee pop and getting up was super painful - so much for showing him how I could keep up with him. "I can't" So, after many weeks of doing different exercises to build my knee up again, I'm finally back to walking more but I'm afraid to do planks or jumping jacks.

The good news is I'm back to doing my extra walking outside and on dvds again - I had to go super slow the past few weeks and not do anything extra that involved knee bends - couldn't even get off the floor properly. However, I was able to lift weights and do situps/leg lifts like you do for yoga. emoticon

I wish we had a Y near us - I'd love to go swimming - it's the best exercises for us "older" folks. emoticon

The weather is killing my allergies too. All I do is sneeze :(

I can't believe June is almost over. My oldest daughter will be turning 5 on July 8th. How did that happen?????

I did NMTZ today and then I took a look at 6 Week 6 Pack Abs (or something like that). It looks killer! I may try that next, we will have to see!

I was running low on time today so I did level 1 of the 30 Day Shred. I love, love, love how great of a workout it is in such a small amount of time! I'll be back to NMTZ tomorrow and will finish out the month of June with that. I'll move to Banish Fat Metabolism next :)

LINDAT1970 good for you for walking every day! Even the simplest form of exercise helps and you will be back in the swing of things in no time. Whether it be allergies or a cold it takes a lot out of you :(

I still can't get over how amazing I feel after working out. I never thought I would actually enjoy it!!!!! I do take the weekends off from Jillian but I make sure to get some form of exercise in. The next few days are supposed to be beautiful outside so me and my three girls will probably be going for some nice walks at the zoo!

Boy do I hear you about falling off the wagon... If nothing at least I am out walking everyday... It's about all I can manage right now... I am totally urked about it all but honestly cannot wait to get back at it.... My diet is still in check.. eating well .. sleeping still about the same 5-6 hrs a night :( with a nap in the day if I can fit it in. Lil one has the cold now so she is up and down basically just wanting to snuggle with mommy today ;) I am dying to get back to my normal routine before I end up flabby and hate myself for this cold... But it's coming and I am glad I am still moving :)

I have to agree about NMTZ- the start seems to be a repeat of 30DS- but then when it gets going- WHEW! Quite the workout.

It's too bad about the cold! I seriously hate it when I either have an injury or can't workout due to illness. You work so hard to get a momentum going that anything that gets in the way is annoying. I just don't ever want to fall off the workout wagon or get in the habit of NOT working out. That's my fear- becoming a couch potato again.

Did eliptical at lunch today. Planning on some Jillian tonight. :)

It might feel like it's the same in the beginning but it gets hard after circuit 3. It just takes a lot more time for me to do and I don't have a lot of time to spare! I might have to try Body Rev, it looks like fun!

Did 1 circuit of the NMTZ it's a pretty good workout but a lot like Shred I think... After doing the Shred I am sure you could whip thru body rev and love it ;) I love it I will stay on week five I think forever as long as this cold sticks around...
Hoping to get through something today even if it's just a long walk again :) I feel I am being punished.. I just want to work out!! LOL

I suffer from allergies so I know how you feel. It's hard enough for me to breath during her workouts with out a stuffy nose!

I have been loving this weather too. It's been rainy here as well so when the sun is out, so are me and my girls. They love going for walks so we add that to my workout!

I was thinking of doing the same just to see the difference but I will stick with the Body Rev until I am done. Using Burn fat Boost metabolism for my cardio which is about an hr in length for my cardio days and I love it :) Maybe next week I will try NMTZ just to try it out :)

I decided today to jump back into Level1 of the 30 Day Shred just to change things up a little. It's AMAZING how much easier it was for me! It still kicked my butt because I HATE cardio and jumping jacks. It really made me see how far I have come from day 1. Tomorrow I will be back on NMTZ but maybe friday I'll do Level 2 of the Shred.

I'm still going strong with NMTZ. I can see a definite chance in my arms, which I'm loving. I just wish the stupid scale would change!!!!! I am stuck, stuck stuck emoticon

Well I am back at it :) Phase 2 workout 5 Body Rev -- DONE!! WOHOOO! I feel good. May be a little sore tomorrow but I am ok with that... Hoping it will knock this chest cold out of my body once and for all...

LINDAT1970, I'm doing the No More Trouble Zones and it's a killer! It's longer than the 30 Day Shred which makes it harder for me to fit it in but I LOVE it! It's a really intense work out. I will see how long I will stay on this one before I move on to another one of her workouts. I'll probably be on this one until at least July.

Hope you all are kicking butt!!!!!
