YAY! Way to go! Hopefully you got medical clearance and are really good to go. The 30 Day Shred is AMAZING! I finished Day 22 today. I took pictures on Day 2, Day 10 and Day 20. I've lost over 3 inches and 3 lbs. You will definitely see results. Just stick with it.
This is the first time I've exercised other than walking in years! I was very sore at the end of Day 2, going into Day 3. I took a hot bath and an Aleve before bed and felt so much better the next day! Maybe that would help if you are able to take some kind of pain reliever?
I have scoliosis and some other back and hip issues. I don't really notice it because I am so used to it, but the pictures definitely reminded me. And in Level 2 there are a lot of planks that put a lot of pressure on my back. Probably 70% of the workouts, I stick to Anita's modifieds, but in Level 2, I modified the planks even more. My sister-in-law teaches Exercise Science at the local college. She suggested that I do the planks on my elbows to further modify the moves and take the pressure off my back and put them more on my arms/shoulders. It definitely helps (but man, there is a lot of shoulder stuff anyway and my traps really felt it!). Note: if you do this, don't put your elbows directly on carpet. Use a yoga mat. I got rug burn on my elbows/forearms. Kind of funny! The scabs are almost gone. LOL!
Good luck! You will rock it and you will be so glad you did!

Great job, making some healthy changes in your life! The 30-Day Shred is the best. I've done it TWICE (all 30 days) and now it has become my go-to workout when I want to mix things up... I just pop it in, pick a level and go.

Stick with it and you will be feeling stronger in no time!

Hi! I recently started the 30 day shred. I'm on day 4 and feeling really sore. I figured I might need some added encouragement along the way so bam! here I am.

I am really out of shape. I'm young and not overweight, but I have many health issues that hinder working out. I've always been non athletic and weak. I have asthma, low immunity, 0 flexibility, a mineral deficiency, blah, blah. The important thing is I'm really trying to get healthier and stronger. I want to complete this shred to prove to myself I can. I hope this group helps us all encourage each other. :)
