I doing 5 pounds and been thinking that maybe they're to heavy but I'm trying to stick with them as I'm on day 5 level 1. Does it get any easier because I swear level 1 kicks my derriere. emoticon

Hey.. I have never done it twice in one day.. If I exercise more then just doing the shred, I usually run a few miles to get some cardio in. Level three is nuts lol I am excited to be almost done!

hello ladies, I have a question to all of you at L3. Have you ever do it twice in a day? Natalie way or Anita way?

Yesterday was my second day even if I started doing like Natalie I ended up like Anita in some or most of the parts, those planks are a killer.

I have a picture of me (part of) but when I was doing L2, it is in the Team Stream (on your right side - huddle scroll) go and take a look.

Today since I didn't went for a walk during lunch time, thinking that today was Thursday, don't know what I was thinking, I decided to do x2 L3D2.

I did L3D7 today. I am planning on doing day 8 and 9 tomorrow and friday. but taking a rest day on saturday because i have a 5k on sunday. I might do my last day sunday and then post my results!

Well I just finished day 3. I can seriously hardly move but somehow a few minutes in the pain eases off and I can get through it. Just wish I wasn't walking like an old lady the rest of the day! Lol! I'm hoping tomorrow the soreness isn't quite so bad.

Thanks Jess! I actually did. I thought I would go ahead and give it a try and I got through it all! I'm ridiculously sore but It's a good sore as I know it means my body is changing!! I'm happy to hear this will likely only last for 3 or 4 days! Thanks again.

TEEBEE..

I know everyones body is different, but for me, the soreness only lasted until day3-4. I kept going even when i was sore. It gets better i promise!

I did day 1 yesterday and today I can hardly walk!! I'm SO sore! I honestly don't know how I could possibly do it today plus aren't you supposed to rest a day after doing strength training? Help!!

Ugh bad news i didn't do a lick of exercising this week. i went to jersey and just was so busy but i didn't change my eating habits i stayed on track. So i need some advice from you ladies. on Sunday i finished level 1 and i was suppose to start level 2 but i did not, so my question is should i start all over or just continue.

Hey NIKI,
I am also using 3 lbs.. and in some of the exercises it is easy, and some it is difficult. I dont really want to bulk up too much so I am not going to go heavier, but its really personal preference!

I am on L1D3. I am wondering how heavy of weights everyone is using. I am using 3lb (each) dumbells. I can def feel the burn but I am thinking as I progress I may need to go heavier. What is everyone else doing?

I'm afraid of L2, too! I felt so beat after the first few days of L1!!! I allowed myself to get really really out of shape since my divorce three years ago; but I'm trying now. Today was D4 of L1... so I'm hoping by the time I get to D10, L2 won't kill me.

I started level 2 today. You would think since I have done this all the way through before, that I would have been prepared for today. Ha! I am drenched in sweat. I do remember level 2 being my favorite out of the workouts though. I like all the plank stuff. Great for the belly!! Everyone is doing such a great job!!

Started level 2 today :) It was much easier on me knee then level one, thank goodness!! The only thing that seemed to affect it was jumping jacks :) It felt so good to do the workouts again, especially after seeing progress the first week! Hopefully level 2 will continue to be good to me, yay!

You are doing great!! Keep up the good work! I did the shred for 30 days straight last year and toned up really well but a few months later I wasn't allowed to do pretty much any working out (issue with my neck.) I've been cleared to work out again, and am on L1D9. It is a bit discouraging having to restart and be in way worse shape than I was in when I did this last year (depression definitely got the most of me during my no exercise months and I put on all the weight I had lost, plus some :( ), but I'm dedicated and determined to get in shape, so it is in the process of happening. :) I know from experience that this workout does really work well!! Looking forward to seeing your awesome results!

I have seen results for sure and the measurements show it too. I've only done 8 days so far, but the other morning I was shaving my legs and thought to myself "Hmmm, my calve feels a little tighter". I got out of the shower and decided to take measurements again just for the heck of it. I've lost an INCH on each of my calves and an inch around my stomach. I haven't noticed my clothes fitting differently or anything yet, but I am definately seeing some sort of progress. I also will not be weight myself at all anymore because the scale says I've gained 3 pounds and I'm just not wanting to hear that, lol. I don't care what I weigh when all things are said and done, I just want my clothes to start falling off, lol :) My knee is feeling much better, but still not right. I will be getting back to the DVD tomorrow and crossing my fingers that I can make it through :)

I underestimated the intensity of this program too. I was just getting back into exercise after a hiatus and thought "20 minutes - this will be a good way to ease myself back in" - I was SO wrong! The next 3 days I had the most intense muscle soreness in my thighs that I have never experienced in my life! My office is on the second floor and walking down those stairs several times a day, I thought my thigh muscles were going to snap in half! It was crazy. After a few days the soreness subsided and the workouts gradually became easier, but man oh man. This workout's definitely a keeper.

Day 6 of level one done I have been slacking a little with not being consistent, doing the shred every day but I am seeing results. I am going to try and get strict again so that I do not start slacking more and more to the point where I lose everything that I have gained by working out. i am almost at the halfway mark of my 30lbs. L1D1 done. That was hard but I finished. I couldn't get all the way through some of the exercises and I can't do push-up because of a bad elbow, but I never sopped moving.

You are successful the minute you start moving toward a worthwhile goal.

feeling really bad i missed day 5 & 6 of level one I have been truly slacking but my body has been so tired.I did work out day 5 just not the shred. Day three of level 2, it's still pretty hard! Didn't feel like I was getting enough of an ab workout so I started with p90x ab ripper x (which is only 15 min) before shredding, by the end of the shred my abs were shaking lol great workouts!

Oh yea, and I HATE any excersise with the word plank in it!!

Day 4 today and it wasn't pretty. I wasn't sore like I had been, but my muscles seemed like they just flat out didn't want to function. It was the oddest feeling! I tried my best, but could only seem to pull off half of each exercise before my body just quit. I'm going to give it another go tomorrow morning and possibly again tomorrow night. On another note, I did have 3 people today as me if I lost weight (I haven't). I notice the area around my upper abs feels tighter and even my other half made a comment about it today. It's crazy seeing results just 4 days in, even if they are tiny. Keep up the good work guys!!!

Looking for Spark-buddies! I know I can't do this alone and could really use some friends for support.

hello ladies just did day 2 it actually mad my soreness feel a lot better. i gave up through the first 10 minutes. I laid on the floor and watched and thought to myself I am not going to get results if I don't push. I got up and restarted level one and pushed through it with everything. I am happy I did. FEELING GREAT 28 DAYS LEFT emoticon

Hi, i'm starting to 30DS today 24/02, so wish me luck, it will all be worth it to get fit and lose this weight. I've read some of your posts so i am expecting to get my butt kicked and to be really sore after. I'll let you know later what i thought of it coz i got to go to bed no its1.26am in the uk, so i wont be doing my workout just yet.....lol but i'm cannt wait to do it now..

Hey guys I just joined the group! I just started level 2 of the shred after doing 10 days on level 1! My first couple days of the shred what hurt the most was my calves! I could hardly walk but i didnt miss a day! On day one i couldnt even get through the Workout without having to stop and catch my breath a few times. By the 3rd day i Could go through the whole thing without stoppig. I already see an awesome change in my figure mostly around my midsection! It's so worth it, keep up the good work guys!

I agree - I knew it was going to kick my butt, but I had no idea it would be kicked so hard, lol. I absolutely love it! My fiance did it with me last night and even he was surprised he sweated so much in only 25 minutes. I am so sore this morning - my abs and thighs want nothing to do with me right now, lol. As sore as I am, I can't wait to do it again tonight! Keeping my fingers crossed that my results are half as good as some I've seen

Today was my first day of 30DS. I knew I was going to have my butt handed to me, but holy cow did I underestimate how intense 25 minutes could be! I also took before pics, which were quite worse then I thought they'd be, lol. I'm looking forward to better photos in 30 days :) My motivation at this point is a cruise in April and the fact that I am completely tired of being overweight, again. I'm ready to get back to being comfortable in my own skin again and if working through being sore is what I have to do then it's totally worth it!!! Good luck with the 30 days, something tells me it's going to be tough, lol.

Just remember that run-of-the-mill muscle soreness doesn't last forever and, provided it's not severe, is not an excuse to skip a workout. In fact, working out can make sore muscles feel better. Good luck!
