HI! I'm new to JM, not to SP... my sis traded me the 30-day Shred DVD for some beaded socks for her daughters LOL... I think I got the better end of the deal!
Today is my first day... I have watched the Level 1, and I am changing into my sweats and finding my hand weights (as soon as I step away from the laptop!)... I had my niece take a pic of me today to show off my new dress and a new necklace, and I thought "OMG! is THAT what I look like?" (because that is NOT what I see in the mirror... but cameras don't lie?)
So I am off to change and restart the DVD... =)

I love Jillian Michaels. I am on day 22 and I have lost just about 10 pounds and a ton of inches. I actually rotate through her workouts NMTZ, BFBM, Shred, Extreme Shred and Six Pack Abs. Depends on what I have time for. It is inspiring how quickly you can improve your stamina. The first time I tried NMTZ I could only get through 15 minutes and I was ridiculously sore afterwards. Now I can get through it all and enjoy the burn. It is still hard, but I can do it!!!!
I am a SAHM with two children under the age of 5, so the videos really help me squeeze in workouts when life gets crazy.
My goal is to be in the best possible health as possible. My family has a history of heart disease and diabetes. My mom died at 50 from a heart attack. So I am determined to head off any problems before they start. I want to be there for my children for a very long time. Jillian's DVDs and Spark are definitely helping me towards my goals of healthy living. ;)

Hi I am new to the team and hope to find inspiration and encouragement from all the the team members that are doing JMs DVDs. I am currently doing 30ds and am about a week into L1. I also want to know how others are getting on with Banish Fat Boost Metabolism and Ripped in 30 as I plan to incoporate those dvds when I am done with 30ds. I have a 5 month old baby who keeps me busy so the 20mins that it takes to do the 30ds is an adequate amount of time to be exercising at the moment. I will endeavour to respond to all replies.

Hi everyone my name is Mary and I am on day 12 of the 30 day shred level 2 day 2. I have only lost 3 pounds so far but I am hopeful. Im trying not to get to discouraged since I am not dropping weight like I would like to. I am going to by a tape measure so I can try and stay motivated when I see inches gone. A little embarassed but I really want to tone up as well as lose wieght I'm embarrassed to wear shorts since I have those dimples on the back of my thighs :( . Im having a tough time staying motivated since results are a little slow. I also have been doing great on my calorie intake and hover around 1200.

I'm on day 2 of the 30DS and to be honest it has kicked the crap out of me!! I started on the monday and stopped it, day 2 today was better so counting it as my 1st day, lol! I'm not sure if its because I'm recovering from the 10K I ran on the Sunday or if it because I'm not use to this yet - either way I do love it and will continue! So I'm doing this dvd each morning, continuing my runs Mon,Wed,Fri and my bike rides (with my dad) Tues, Thurs,Sat and my rest days are Sun.
I'm aiming to be at my 'dream' size/weight by this xmas and also more interested in clothes size rather than weight

Hi! New to the team...I've had the JM30 Day Shred DVD for a couple months now- have been doing it pretty regularly, but I'm still on week one. I just cant seem to push myself into week two- so I'm hoping- that starting over- on a TEAM- will get me thru the entire 4 weeks!!!

Hi everyone! I'm at day 15 of the Shred. I joined SP when I started to keep me motivated, and so far it has done wonders!

I have been on and off SP for more years than I can remember. I was 20 lbs shy of my goal...became complacent and far too comfortable, now I am back, making up for lost time. My plan is to start this serious this evening ( no waiting until tomorrow morning~~tomorrow's not promised). I look forward to getting to know you all.

Hey everyone. I just joined SP a little over a month ago and my workout is usually just walking/running outside, but the weather has been crappy, so I borrowed this DVD from my sister. Today was my first day and it totally kicked my butt. I am going to try to do this DVD on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and continue with my walking and running as much as possible. I'm not a huge fan or workout videos, but I'm going to try to stick with this as I hope to see good results from it.

Hey there, I'm javamonster. I'm a SAHM with a cheerleader daughter and an eleven year old son and I have gotten so sick and tired of looking like a flub-monster and sitting on my butt on the computer all day. So I bought the 30 Day Shred (some women on other forums I frequent SWORE by it!) in December but didn't open it until my daughter popped it on and dragged me away from the computer. The first time I did Level 1, I did make it through, but I couldn't walk without pain in my quads for almost a week. Six weeks ago, I started it back up, doing the elliptical along with it, and my quads are fine. I skipped two weeks, and just got back into the Shred again today. I feel good, but I'm looking forward to getting rid of the tummy flab and the arm flab and getting back into size 14s again. Size 12? Well, babies widened the hips, so I don't think so.
I am so glad I found this group!

Just joined this group today, been on SP for a year, not really losing weight so just always trying to switch different foods and exercises to see what works. Recently been really upping my exercise. somehow today earlier i didn't eat well bu then i exercised a lot and lost weight, was wierd as other days i'll eat healthy like a lot of salads and just gain so I've decided to really cut down on salads and mix up a few different foods -- I'm very picky so I don't like a lot of meat, but I'll eat some and I do love fish so start eating some of that again. I've done 70 minutes exercises today, I still wanna do 1 more in a little bit to get about 800 calories burn. Trying to do that many for 5 days per week as when I was calculating on this other site webmd.com; also has another tracking site and says how much should intake and burn in exercises per week or per day to lose weight so trying to go by that one as previously with less calories I haven' been burning even when I stay in calorie range. I figure do this and get 2 days off per week I should be able to manage. Jillian DVD's might be helping, so starting with this 30 day shred and also doing other exercises, I might also mix some other of her DVD's in if i can handle it. I have her 6 wk 6 pack and ripped in 30 and I also have a yoga dvd of hers and those I haven't really tried much yet.

I am in desperate need for motivation. I've been a SP member since 2007 and its been a roller coaster of consistency. I've owned JM's 30DS for years, was actively using it everyday, and somewhere along the way I feel off the wagon. I am re-starting this yo-yo of exercise and lifestyle eating changes and really need to stay focused. With all that being said, I LOVED the 30DS when I was using it and can't wait to start again

Hello everyone and I am officially on Day 5 which would be day 9 if I hadn't shortcutted through the weekend co I started fresh on Monday all over again. I swear she doesn't feel any easier but I'm trying to hang in there as I am using her to get my body back moving to start shedding the 100 pounds I want to lose. Does anybody else yell dirty names at her through their TV?

Hi, I started 30 Day Shred this March (tried back in September but did not finish the month), had a setback, but finally on level 2. Looking forward to completing this workout, challenging for me but love it!

I joined this team over a year ago. completed my shred right after doing a half marathon. I was at the time 9 pds from my goal. Ive had major life events that I laid down myself and picked up everyone else and in the process picked up food. Just went to the dr last week and saw I had gained 25 pounds - ugh. So here we go again.

Hello, everyone. As others have listed below, I am also new to SP. I had lost 50lbs a couple years ago, but have unfortunately gained back 25 of it due to various personal issues. I can get very depressed about the mistakes I made to gain it back. But I have decided to just take charge of my emotions and get motivated to get back into shape. I have started my walking routine back up, being more sensible about food choices and started the 30 DS. I have not done this video before but find it to be challenging with being as out of shape as I am. I did enjoy the workout, even with the 'pain'. With my personal schedule I am not sure that I can do it on consecutive days, but am hoping that I will still see an impact. Does anyone else alternate the days that they do this workout? If so, what kind of results have you gotten? I look forward to getting to know the team and motivating each other along the way.

Me joining this group! I've been doing the 30 day shred for the last 2.5 weeks. As for now I like it, don't love it just like it. Looking forward to finish and probably start over again or move on to other program (6 weeks six pack, body revolution or extreme shed and shred).
Right now I am in Level 2 Day 6 (today). Rest day are Sundays. When is almost time to move to the next level what I do is the first 27 minutes of the Level I am doing and the next 27 minutes of the next Level that way I see what are the movements, how complex the exercise would be.
Waiting on next Sunday and Monday to start doing my transition from Level 2 to Level 3.

Hi! My name is Michelle. I took a quiz on SparkPeople recently that revealed that I would enjoy workout videos. I did some research on the web and then went to Target yesterday and bought ďJillian Michaelís 30 Day ShredĒ. Today was my first day. WOW! What a great workout! Itís hard to believe itís only 20 minutes long. I had to do the modified versions of most of the moves and couldnít make it through some of the drills (Iím hopeless at planks, push-ups holding ab positions) but, I finished.
Now, Iím at work and I can already feel a little soreness coming on. Iím a little scared what Iíll feel like tomorrow but, Iím happy I started this program.
I am only going to do the tapes 3 times a week (M, W & F) because Iím training for a half-marathon and need to get my runs in on T, TH and SA but, I am committed to doing this! I may stick with week 1 for a couple of weeks (to build up my basic strength before moving on).
Iím so glad I picked up this tape! Iím also glad SP suggested a workout tape. I workout at home and sometimes it feels a little lonely. This made me feel like I was working out with other people.

I couldn't believe that in only 20 minutes I would work up a sweat and be sore the next day. I could really feel it in my legs today while doing the workout but I got it done!! Hello everyone! I joined this team last week and forgot to come here to introduce myself. My name is Crystal and I am a huge Jillian fan. I just bought her Body Revolution and just when i thought I couldnt love her anymore I have fallen in love all over again. I started the week off awesome and then got extremely sick and had to stop. I am trying again tomorrow. I have two beautiful children and a wonderful husband. I have been on again off again with my weight loss. I go strong for some time and then fall. I am hoping this 90 days I will crank it out and lose a large amount so that I don't give up so easy. I am so excited to join this team and hope that it will be my answer.

I have maintained an overweight for almost 7 years with a year of health in the middle using weight watchers. I read a thread on the internet somewhere which someone responded "every time you complain about being fat and overweight, go for a walk". I have complained, perhaps, for attention. Now, I am serious about doing something. I have joint pain from carrying too much weight. My daughter has been doing Jillian since his summer and she looks great, so I thought why can't I. Here I am.

With the exception of some major back issues, until May 2001 I was a healthy 130 lbs; loved running; looked the best I had in years. Then..in May 2001, I fell and broke the upper portion of my left femur. In the three months I was on crutches, I gained an unbelievable 45 lbs!! Since then, I have been trying, unsuccessfully, to lose that weight. I swore I would be back to a healthy weight at the ten year mark. That came and went. Now I have my age, increased back pain and heart issues (unrelated to my weight) working against me. I've been working out to Biggest Loser and Jillian Michaels' DVDs for some time and they are definitely a challenge!

hi everyone... I've been in SP for about a week now and just started exercising. I saw 30 Day Shred on Amazon and was surprised at the amount of reviews it had compared to other workout DVDs. I figured if that many people have had success with I would give it a try. I've tried Leslie Sansone's DVDs (last year for about 3 months straight) but man those get pretty old! today was my first workout with the 30 Day Shred and I'm exhausted. I hope I can move tomorrow and do it again! I'm getting married in October and need to shape up a little bit so I can be confident on my big day. nice to meet you all and I am glad there is a team for Jillian Michaels!

Day 2 Level 1 . Took a day off because I couldn't walk let alone exercise lol ! The ab and arm part is easier for me , it's my legs that are burning 5 minutes in with the " jump rope move " . Gonna push through like she says and hopefully I won't hurt so bad soon !

Hi All! My name is Kimberly. I am 35 soon to be 36 and struggling to lose 100+ pounds. Early last year I found out I am allergic to gluten so I had to change the way I eat. I am in love with fruits and veggies now. I found a new appreciation lol. I workout daily for the most part. If I take a day off I slack. So I try to get at least 20 minutes a day in. Been doing the 30 day shred and I'll toss in Leslie Sansone and Zumba. 2012 is my year to get healthy. I'm not looking to get thin. I just don't want to be winded when I climb stairs or sore and tired after a long walk. I want to run a half marathon and then a marathon some day. Thinking about trying to do a 5k in June. We will see! Feel free to add me. I have been a Spark member for quite sometime now and I am always looking to expand my Spark Family.
I was due for a "refresh" on my fitness dvds, so I bought Jillian's 30DS, 6W6P, RIP30, and BFBM. I also ordered some of Bob's Inside Out videos. I created myself a 30-day plan for late-January through February, but I quickly realized that I am more out-of-shape than I thought. I took a few days off, and on 2/3 I started again...30 DS it is. When I can get through that, THEN I'll be be able to do one of BLACKANDI's monthly30-day challenges. Here's to 30DS!!
