Dude, you totally found it from my page, didn't you? LOL

Glad you joined! For some reason I thought you were already on though...weird. Anyhoo, are we doing 30DS in *addition* to swimming on Tuesday or just swimming? I am not sure what your plans are for working out in the morning or during the day at work. I don't want you to get too worn out and make sure you eat enough calories young woman! Let me know so I can plan the same.

If you always do what you always did, you will always get what you always got!

Hi everyone. I am new to the team and I have been doing 30 day shred on and off for the past few weeks. It is an amazing workout and I am so glad to have found this team on sp!

Hi Shredders! I started the DVD earlier this month, did 6 days of Level 1, took three days off and then started up again with another day of Level 1 and have now done two days of Level 1 and 2. I need to get some lighter weights. I only have 7 lb weights and they are definitely too heavy for some of the strength moves. I haven't lost any weight yet (my goal is 15 lbs) but I noticed that my muscles seem more toned and my tummy pooches out less. emoticon

Hi, I just found the dvd at the mall yesterday and I started it today. It thoroughly kicked my ass but it felt awesome at the same time.

Hi everyone! I'm new to this team. I'll be doing day 5 of level 1 today. I struggle with the push-ups. I didn't realize my upper body strength is so bad. Maybe someday I'll be able to do real ones and not just the girly ones! After I do the Shred, I do an hour of DDR for the aerobics. Sounds silly, but I can get my heart rate up and keep it up with that. I plan to start adding in some walking/running. I really want to get as physically fit as I can for skiing next winter.

Welcome to all! Unfortunately level1 is no longer on demand and level 2 is done as of today! emoticon

I know Best Buy had the DVD in stock so i'm going to order from there. I did level 2 last night for the 1st time ......i held my own but it was a learning experience with the new moves.

Hi everyone, I am new!

I don't have MTC yet, but I do have JM's 30 Day Shred, Frontside/Backside for Beginners, as well as her more advanced Shape Up Front, Shape Up Backside, Maximize - Full Frontal, Maximize - Back In Action, and her Cardio Kickbox.

Anyone else have these/work out with these?

I like to supplement another DVD with 30DS, even though I am only on level one in 30DS.

Did you all know that those who have Comcast with On Demand has free access to levels 1 and 2 of 30DS? SO those of you who just ordered and are waiting, you can still access it if you have Comcast!

If you always do what you always did, you will always get what you always got!

Hi!

After having this DVD sit on my shelf for 2 weeks I finally opened it this week. It is a killer! I'm in my last 10-20 pounds to lose so I'm hoping this DVD will help. I also have her Making The Cut book but I haven't had the time to start reading it in detail.

Just a question, are you suppose to do this DVD everyday? Because the workouts incorporate weights and I've also heard that you shouldn't weight train the same muscle group on back to back days.

I started today with level 1 from Exercise On Demand. They have levels 1 & 2 so I'll have to buy or rent the DVD if I get to level 3.

Do any of you substitute classes at the gym? I really like the social aspect of going to the classes and don't really want to give them up while I do this. I usually do a Total Body Conditioning class that's an hour long so I'm thinking that might be an acceptable substituton. emoticon

I started the shred yesterday so today will be day 2. The workout was hard but short. I might try to do levels 1 and 2 back to back soon. I also bought the making the cut book but i think for now will follow the dvd as its easier just to follow then read the book/do the exercises.

HARTMAMP I just started adding cardio to the shred as i wasn't in my Target HR long enough. So now once i finish, i skip the cool down, jump on the elliptical (only 15 min. right now) and do the cool down after that. I think it's great for shaping like you said but I am looking for the scale to move a little bit too . :)

Hi there, I'm going to start the 30 Day program today. I've been using the dvds off and on for a few weeks now, but I'm going to try to do 10 days of each level like you're supposed to.

So far it's helped tighten up my arms and stomach a little. We'll see how it goes now that I'm being serious about it!

I just finished day 3 of the 30 day shred today and love it! I am hoping to see results after 30 days, as I am adding this to my normal exercise routine, which includes running 3-4 days a week and kickboxing at my local gym. So excited to see results !!

Like a lot of other people have said, the DVD hasn't made me lose weight, but my muscle definition is changing drastically! I feel stronger now and I love the length of the DVD because I don't have an excuse not to do it since it's so short! Now I think I'm going to try add some more cardio into my workouts and see if the scale will budge!

Hi there!!

I started the 30 day shred today. I have a lot to lose and i need to change it up this month, or well, add something..

Last month all i did was walk.. and walk... and walk some more. I went a total of 60 miles in the month of may. (i could have done more if i didn't take a week off)

I see some body changes but do not see any weight changes. So I am kicking it up a bit. I am doing the 30 day shred in the morning and then going on a 4 mile walk at night when the hubby gets home (that way the kids are not all alone)

I watched the level 1 before i started doing it... It looked easy enough... LMAO it is harder than it looks!! I should see something after 30 days... right???

In order to see the changes, first you have to make the changes...

Hello fellow “Shredders”! I recently committed myself to finally lose those last 15 lbs… after having 2 kids and returning to the office fulltime, my workout routines have been sporadic at best over the past 2 years. I have the gazelle and leg Magic but have not been consistent, as well, I have a gym at work and try to use the elliptical when I can get there. Because, I am unable to get into a routine during the day, I decided that the only way I can workout consistently is if I get up early and do my workouts before the rest of the family gets up. Last week was the first week and I did M-Th on the gazelle, while using 2.5 lbs ankle weights and alternating 1 and 5 lbs hand weights and then onto the Leg Magic for 120 reps. I also did winsor pilates sculpting circle 30 mins. on Wed eve. Fri I slept in and then went to the gym at lunch for 30 mins elliptical and 10 mins of free weights. I can say that I noticed a decrease in the gluts! I took the weekend off and this morning I did Level 1 and then 120 reps of the Leg Magic. That’s it for my long intro…
Are you guys following her diet? I have Making the Cut and am a balanced oxidizer – have to make sure that I include protein in my meals. What kind of results are you getting from 30 day Shred – are you doing it everyday or taking the w/e off?

I started the 30 day shred before it was on DVD. I discovered it on OnDemand. I was on day 6 when my back went out. Just as of 4 days ago I started working out again. I tried it on day two of working out and I couldnt make it more then 6 minutes into the video. So I am going to have to build my way back up although I expect to start it again within the next two weeks.
I need to loose about 50 pounds. I have lost 40 and have maintained that for 2 years. I am ready to work on loosing the rest with Jillian and all of you.

Hi everyone! I'll be starting the 30 day Shred plan today, I'm a little nervous since I've heard how hard it is, but I'm super motivated to do this! I just joined SP last week to help aid me in loosing the last 15 pounds I need to reach my goal. I've lost 28 pounds in the last year already, so I'm so close it's driving me nuts now! I'll keep you all updated on my progress and look forward to hearing how everyone else is doing!

Hello everyone,

I have been doing the Shred for about 10 days and then had some technical trouble with my DVD player and could not do this workout. Now those issues have been solved and this is my second day back on track!

I have been doing level 1 & 2, two times I have done those together.

I am looking forward to doing the June Shred Challenge with you!

Hi I'm Carolina and I'm the crazy track gal. I did again, I did circuits on the track behind my house in the Jillian spirit! I will be plopping the video tonight and for the weekend as I weave in a few more videos and of course the track - I have to do the running as I have a 1/2 marathon in a few weeks - this video is great for stamina purposes!

Welcome to the team, Joy and Katie.

Good luck with workout #2, Joy. I did my second one last night and even though I was still a bit sore, I felt much better after I got through that first round of push ups.

It sounds like you're making some progress, Katie. I know it can be frustrating when you don't see the scale move, but losing the inches and gaining the muscle is most important.

BABYBIRD - Same for me! I am on Day 19 now and although I notice results (muscle tone, look thinner), my scale just won't budge. I did not take measurements until Day 13, so I will not measure myself again for a bit. But I am expecting to have lost inches.

Hi!
I am on day 29, just did day one of L3 last night. I know that doesn't sound right, but I was afraid of the workouts before starting, so I wasn't doing them EVERYday at first. I have done 10 days of L1, 10 days of L2, I plan on doing 4 days of L3, then start all over and do a 30 day for June, anyone up for that? I plan on incorporating more cardio into my weeks too. I noticed that I have gotten stronger, and inches lost, but no scale movement! Talk about frustration. But I am looking forward to going all out in June. I have been thinking of May as my practice month, and really pushing it next month.

I am so glad to see this team. I have been on the Making the Cut team, but I only do the shred, and wanted to see a shred team!! I already co-lead the Ya-Ya team, and didn't have enough in me to start a new one, so THANK YOU!!!!

Katie

Hi, I'm Joy. I just joined the group today. Well I just did Level 1 for the first time this morning and boy did it kick my butt. I thought I was in pretty good shape (I have been working out for almost 5 weeks) but boy was I wrong...lol. I'm going to try again tomorrow. Hopefully I get through it better. God Bless!

Welcome, QUELEI! I just did the first workout of level one last night and I agree on the upper body issues. I had a lot of trouble with that last round of push ups. I'm looking forward to seeing some results, too.

Unfortunately, I haven't taken measurements at the beginning. I took measurements last Friday on May 23, which was already nearly 2 weeks into it. I will remeasure 2 weeks from that date and let you know what happened! Stick with the DVD everyone, you WILL see results! emoticon

Hey guys, I'm new to the team and to the 30 Day Shred. In fact, I just finished Day 1, Level 1 of the workout. Wow! A lot more intense than what I was expecting. I love that it's fast paced, but I'm coming to realize I have little upper body strength! The push-ups and upper body weight moves were killer for me. I'm going to stick with it though, I can't wait to see results!

Welcome, Pisces945! I'm glad you like the DVD. I did my first workout last night. I'll be interested to see how it goes. I've heard nothing but good things about it.

Did you take measurements at the beginning?
