I just joined this team today. I tried Shred a few years ago and didn't finish it. I am now on Day 11 and know I'm doing it this time. I also found a friend who has Ripped in 30 so I can start it after I'm done shredding.

HI my name is Isis I started 30 day shred on April 1. today is Day 2. I love it. I completed it before, a few years ago, but this time I seem to be able to handle it better. Musicallyminded, I hear ya! I am sweating also, but I stick to it..last time I lost inches and was not working as hard as I am now. I was 42lbs heavier, I completed walkaway pounds for 30 days prior to this time, so it seems duable

Hi Tracy & Morgan! I was 203 when I started the 30 Day Shred about 1.5 years ago. I had never done a more difficult workout in my life! I'd never committed to a routine like that either. But I did it and it felt great (inside, outside I was sore!) I stuck with Jillian, finding other workouts and 30 challenges to do. I also worked on my nutrition (which is always a work in progress). I'm 40 pounds lighter and the healthiest I've been since my teens.
Her DVD's work, stick with it - you will be amazed at the results. Be sure to take your measurements, not only will you shed pounds but inches too!

Hello, everyone. I'm Tracy and I just started doing the Shred last week. I have already dropped 5 pounds and am already seeing a change in the way my clothes fit. Now I know why my friends have raved about this DVD. It is a BIG challenge for me, being over 200 pounds, but so far it seems worth it.
Any other ladies over 200 lbs trying to accomplish this? I'm sweating like a beast at the end of each workout! Ahhh! But it's only 25 minutes, so I figure I can manage it!

I've been a member of this team for a long while, but haven't actually done the video or any since. I need to get back on track. Last year I did awesome on 30 Day Shred but had to stop because of knee issues. Since then, I've done physical therapy and shouldn't have a problem with the video anymore. However the holidays and my husbands deployment has been hell on me. Back at it, starting tomorrow. I took all my measurements today.

Hi my name is Kati. I am looking to get into exercising again (its been about 5 years give or take). I need to loose about 45 pounds and am hopeing I can do this on this board.
My 11 year old daughter has taken an interest in exercising with me and it helps that my 2 and 3 year old daughters like to try too so it is helping make it more fun!

Hello all! After two failed attempts at this 30-Day Shred couple years ago, I'm trying again. I read that Michaels said to do 2 days of the dvd followed by a day of cardio, another 2 dvd days, 1 cardio day, and then rest. As my shoulders are very weak (still! Despite my best efforts too strengthen them) due to past injuries, I'm more than happy to take those cardio breaks and that rest day. Also, I'm continuing with my regularly scheduled program of my fitness classes and running. I don't do well with changing too much so adding in an extra thing is easier than taking out a whole bunch of other things.
I've done my first 2 days of the dvd on lvl 1 and am on my first cardio day. Shoulders are super sore but the rest of me is perfectly fine. Am excited to do it this time!

Hey everyone!! I finished day 2 of The Shred this morning. I have had to take 2 doses of Advil today too! WOW, am I ever SORE! But I hope this is well worth it. ((Normally I don't like to take a lot of meds, but currently I need to until my muscles get used to it)). I hope to see some posting soon! Jen

Hi everybody, here I go, didn't get going yesterday, but I am going to get going today! Got my videos, my 3 lb weights, a 10 lb kettle, a mat and weight glovies with no fingers. I can't say I'm thrilled, but I am looking on this as an adventure! I am going to have to shut my door when I work out, because the cat chases my feet when I dance or move fast I have noticed!

Hey!! I'm Jisha. I'm gonna start JM's 30 day shred from tomorrow. I can easily start any workout plan, but my problem is sticking with it. My motivation runs dry mid way. And my weight has hit 74kg, the highest i have ever weighed. If this does not call for serious work from my part, then what does? My name is Margie, and I am getting ready to do the shred. I am not quite ready yet, planning on starting on October 1st through November 1st. I want a little time to set up my space, get acquainted with the video, and decide whether I want to do the shred with or without the weights (I have the kettle and the 3lb weight versions). I feel very nervous about this, afraid that I won't be able to do it. But I keep telling myself, one step at a time is the only way to go.
I am very out of shape, so maybe this isn't the right video for me. I have been a couch potato for the last 10 years, half of that I had chronic illness. I weigh 182 and I am 5'3". But I WANT something more for my life, and I am determined to change. I have already begun a balanced weight loss plan, including vitamin supplements. My doctor has given me the go ahead, and at age 46 I have no high blood pressure, heart or lung disease or anything else that would medically hold me back.
If you have any ideas that could help me, please drop me a line.

New around here, or at least learning this time. I joined some time ago but just could not give the time I needed to really get the feel of things, or get them going. I just graduated with a bachelors degree and decided that it was time to get back to me. I am single with a wonderful son who is helping me stay on top of things and get I into shape. Still trying to figure how everything works and how to make me time during the day to do what I need. Just started this DVD, made it halfway through the first week workout, then wanted to quite it was killing me. I hope it gets easier soon and that I don't give up on it. I just finished doing JM Fast fix kickboxing... love it! Now I think I am going to do the slim down rotation of all JM's video's plus I am incorporating her Fast Fix. My ultimate goal is to do nice steady cardio in the morning... running or the elliptical, then at night do the rotations for 30 days.
I really hope I can nail this goal!

Hi! I'm not new to SP or to 30D Shred either, but it's been a long time since I've been able to do any workouts with impact because of injury. I'm not sure yet if I'm going to start this or Total Body Revolution when I'm cleared for exercise again later this week (hopefully!), but it'll be one of them! I just wanted to pop in and say hi. I think the push ups were the worst for me - my arms are already screaming!! I've been "trying" to get into shape for years now and just want it to be long term! Hi I'm Sztamburski, and on day 20, level 2, of the 30 day workout. I wish I took pic's cause I'm starting to look good in the mirror and the jelly rolls over my pants are disappearing. I first started feel the tightness in my abs day 11. The first 3 days of each level is a bitch but then by day 8 of each level it feels good to be fit! I needed a kick start to lose weight and this simple video helped me lose 5 lbs so far. I am currently watching her on "The Biggest Loser". I want to be fit for life so exercise video's will be a regular in my life. You can do it definitely~~~~!!!!!!! Just do it one day at a time.

Ok. I tried this DVD before when I was working out like crazy for over a year and failed. I now hardly ever work out, but a friend is doing it with another person...so, I am going to give it a go. Hi, I'm Paulina and i joined Spark People sometime in June 2012. I began this journey so many times over and over again, but I just couldn't seem to remain focused, so I'm hoping to receive as much support as possible. My goal is to lose atleast 30 pounds and tone EVERYTHING up! However, it's a little more difficult for me because I'm in a wheelchair ( not much use of my legs, and limited range of motion with arms), but I'm trying to find something that will work for me. Any suggestions? I would love to be the next Jillian Michaels...LOL!.....No, seriously!

Hi, I am Lysette from Amsterdam, the Netherlands. I just did day 1 of level 2 today and man it was hard! I did burn 255 kcal, very happy about that. Hopefully I will see some results by the end of the 30 days. I had my second child 12 weeks ago and hope that Jillian will help me lose my mommy tummy and all the extra baby fat.

I just finished day 1 of 30 Day Shred! I am excited to stick with this...I have to commit to it!! I am not sure I will be able to move tomorrow, but.... I WILL do this!

I really believe in 30 Day Shred will deliver great results so even though I am sore as hell I keep going!
Today will be my Day 3/ Level 1. Level 1 title fools those who are not familiar with this workout but MAN it is hard! Especially if you are overweight and out of shape as much as me!
For now my only intense workout is this program. I walk at home 1 mile (plan to increase it to 2 miles later on) to keep myself active during the day but that's about it.
I weigh in, took photos and measurements and I don't plan to weigh myself before I finish. So I hope to see good results by then.

Hello everyone! I am only on Dy 2 of 30DS, but I'm feeling great. I really want to get fit and its hard for me to get out of the house so these videos really help a lot! I'm glad I was already working out for a few weeks before starting this because I probably would have wanted to quit after the first day. Can't wait to see how I look in 30 days!!!

Hi All, I finished 30 day shred 3 weeks ago.just want to encourage you to ,DO NO QUIT because trust me you will see the results. I did not lose ant weight but altogether I lost 17 inches all over my body. Now I am on Ripped in 30 and hoping to see some more results.
