hello my name is Ness I'm 27 currently weighing 220 pounds the last two yrs have not been very nice to me. In March of 2011 I lost my father unexceptedly. I gained 30 from emotional eating. things continued to get worse. june of the same year my boyfriend of 8 yrs lost his job. this added to the stress. by 2012 I hit 220 I decided I have to do something over a period of 6 months I lost 15 pounds. but come oct I slowly gained it back nothing I did would help I became depressed. now 2013 I made the goal to get below 200 by June. I am very active come spring I play on 3 softball teams. I know my challenge is going to be my work schedule. I wake up at 530 leave by 730 & return home by 7. I work from 830 -6 I work during lunch by the time I'm home I cook n want to relax. I tell my self to go for walks during lunch. workout 15 mins in the morning n 15 at night. but it hardly happens. I'm hoping someone here can help me stay on track. I need this weight lose please help.

I'm SABLENESS, SP member since 8/12. I lost 30 lbs and regained 10. I want that 10 off for good. I'm aiming at 12 lbs down in 6 weeks, started Jan 1st. I am serious about losing all the way to my goal this year.

Hi everyone, my name is Lacey. I've been a Sparkpeople member for a little while now, but recently I've started to become serious about my weight loss! So I thought joining this group would help with my weight loss goals and make me accountable! I try to get support from my family, but they're not interested. I try to tell them what my daily calorie goal is (1200) and how many I've consumed at the end of the day, but they don't get it (or want to). My nutrition tracker keeps me accountable to myself, but sometimes it's not enough! I would like to lose at least 2 lbs. a week. I'm going to the Dr. tomorrow to see if she can do anything that will help aid in my weight loss (the medicine I'm taking makes it almost impossible to lose weight, and I'm also taking Levothyroxizine for an under active thyroid, so that's a double whammy) I don't know what she'll tell me, or what she'll do. If anyone has any experience with doctors or can relate to any of this I'd love some advice! hope to get to know you guys soon! Thanks!

Hi everyone,
My name is Sara and I am pretty familiar with SparkPeople, although I have been off of it for a couple of months. I have utilized the tracking calories and exercies areas but have always had a problem keeping with the groups, so I am trying to make that change so that I stick with it and am accountable to others :-)
I live in Texas right now, although I am orginally from Peoria Illinois. I am a Mom of 3 boys - ages 9, 7, and 2 so they keep me pretty busy and my husband is in the Army. We recently moved from Kansas to Texas and that is when I fell off the SparkPeople site for awhile (not to mention summertime with the 3 boys!).

Hi! My name is Kelly. I live in MT and joined a few years ago. I've been on and off of the site and doing Weight Watchers in the mix there too. WW meetings are 80 miles away (one way) so makes it difficult to participate and it gets expensive too. Also my previous computer wouldn't let me load all of the page content from this site since I didn't have a current browser, but the browser has recently been updated and now I can use the site again. So hopefully I will be a more frequent visitor. Plus with summer coming along I am getting motivated to lose weight again. I am looking at losing 15 lbs in the next couple of months, and a short goal of 5lbs by the end of the June. I had been riding my bike quite a bit but it's been so rainy and cold lately I don't want to go out now. Hoping for some sun and warmer temps to get me out again, and I'm in search of a good pedometer to motivate me to walk a little more. I had a crappy little free one I'd gotten from work but it kept falling off and would lose count and re-set every time it fell off. Anyway I feel like I'm rambling now, so I'll cut it short. Looking forward to meeting some people to help me along the way and for me to encourage you as well. Kelly

Hi everyone! My name is Liz, and I joined sparkpeople a year ago, but did not start using the site til April 2011. So far I've dropped 17lbs! yay! My goal was to lose about 2lbs a week, and it worked out great in April, but this month in May, I lost about 6lbs, however, I lost more inches this month then last month. I lost a total of 18inches. I've been running 2 miles every other day and walking 3 miles or doing some other physical activity on the days I don't run. I would be discourage a little because I didn't lose as much weight as I wanted to, however, I ran across an article that talked about muscle weighing more then fat and since i've started running, i've slimmed down a great deal in two months.
I ran across this group and thought it would help me to lose 2lbs a week and of course looking for new friends :-) I look forward to all the inspiration and motivation as well as me giving it to you!!

Hi. I joined this site a few year back, but I slowly fell off it along with my weight loss goals. I was actually losing weight when I was logging in and tracking my nutrition, then life took over and being a military spouse moving every 3 years (no excuse), but all the travelling and great food from Germany and now Japan, I seem to gain up to 20lbs per move. Something this time just clicked as I weigh more than I did when I was preganant 15 yrs ago. I just turned 40 in Dec and really want to get back to feeling like my old self, I was always confident and never had a body image problem, who thought at 40 I would care, but I do, because I have a knee problem now and get tired so easily doing everyday things, like climbing stairs. I am determined this time to lose the weight and feel good about myself again.

I am getting ready to retire from the USAF and had to have knee surgery recently. Needless to say my normally active lifestyle left me. I have sinced gained some weight. I am 210 and would like to get to 170-175 before my retirement ceremony June 4th. I think with a team behind me I can do it! Hi my name is Cai, and I joined Sparkpeople a year ago. I lost weight right away, but then fell off track with the site. I've recommitted myself for the new year, and have been especially good starting February. The challenge aspect of this team really appeals to me, and should help make this fun :)

Hello, My name is Heidi. I am new to Spark People. I am at my heaviest weight ever! I have 53 pounds to lose. Getting started is the hardest part! I have never had to exercise with this much weight! It hurts, I feel so unattractive, and my "Get up and Go...Got up and Went!!!" The stressors in my life have really put me in a slump. Your team appeals to me...hoping an attainable goal of 2 lbs. per week will get me going!!! How did you get started? What helped you the most? Love to hear from people!

Hello! I just joined Spark almost a week ago. What really drew me in was the community aspect of encouragement and motivation. My goal is to lose 60 lbs. and gain health, energy, being confident and comfortable in my own skin again.
I like the theme of this team...it looks to be right up my alley. I like the idea of incorporating various new challenges to keep things interesting, keep me motivated, and keep me connected to others facing the same challenges as myself.
Hopefully, I can be a part of encouraging others as well.

Well, the journey begins! I am half-way through my first day... only 328 days to go! I want to lose 2 pounds a week so I can be at my goal weight by Christmas! I'm 44 and feeling the middle age pudge... but let's face it, weight really isn't about age, it's about mindset. I've been eating all wrong for the past few years and now it's time to get my body on a healthy path. My mind is made up, and I want to share the process with others who are embarking on this monumental expedition, because hopefully the shared journey might make the experience a little more joyful! And from all the successes I see on Sparks, certainly looks like the united effort sheds light on the best path to take! Glad to be part of the SparkStreaks! Lose 2 lbs. a week! hello, today is day one for me... again... and again. I try every year. Every year I lose a good twenty lbs or so then gain it back. not this year! I have a wonderful husband an energetic 12mo old and a great support system of friends. I joined this group looking for some accountability. so if anyone is interested in being my buddy, hit me up. Howdy! My name is Danika (duh-'nee-kuh) and I am 30 y/o and a single mother to a 9 y/o boy. I work 2 jobs and have a LOT on my plate, but I KNOW I can lose 2 lbs a week. I have seriously overhauled my menu and am exercising every day. I have a wonderful "knight in shining lab-coat" boyfriend. He is also trying to lead a healthier lifestyle starting this year. I try to get at least 30 min. of exercise each day. My goal is to lose 70 lbs by my birthday 2011. I'm sure that I'll reach my goal before then. Looking forward to moving forward and striving to achieve a healtheir life with all of you!
Live for today, dance like no one's watching, sing like no one can hear, and love like you've never been hurt. You only have one life...so get up and enjoy it!!!

Greetings, I'm Kesha and 2lbs a week sounds like a steep challenge. I am getting back on track with eating right and exercising. I did sparkpeople once last yr for two months with no results but that won't serve as a negative reminder.
I have been chubby all my life but that won't discourage me. My goal is hefty to go from a size 20 to a size 8. I truly want to focus on inches rather than the scale but I will give it a go!!

Greetings from Sedona Arizona! I've been with SP since 2007 - but this year I'm getting fully involved. I'm 42yrs old and I want to loose 35lbs! I eat pretty well, my problem is dealing with DDD (degenerative disc disease) that hurts everyday making it very difficult to keep active/exercise. When I'm up to it, I love to walk, stretch and do Yoga. And when I'm really feeling good I like to hike the beautiful red rocks here in Sedona. Can someone tell/help me - what this weeks challenge is so I can get on board and reach my goal! Thanks!!
