Most of the time, I plan my workout for the time that I have between arriving home from work and time to pick the kids up from after-care (I'm lucky enough to have about a full hour to work with there), with the exception that my teenager is home. Sure, he'll relocate from the tv if I tell him to, but sometimes that's just the excuse to make me lose motivation. "Eh, why fuss with him today... I'll just do it later" and then later doesn't come. ;)
LOL, I'd love to figure out a way to get up and workout earlier... but I'm managing about 6 hours of sleep per night right now with family schedules and my commute (Northern Virginia traffic, hooray... or something). I do need to re-work that - I know that getting enough sleep is important when maintaining a fitness/weight-loss plan.
Tonight... I managed an 80 minute work-out in. I feel invigorated and pretty awesome.

My only suggestion for the TV/WiiFit time is to allocate some time to yourself, 10-30 minutes. Tell your children when that will be (mine's 10-11am) and that is YOUR time for the T.V., they can have it afterward. If for some reason that doesn't work in your household, wake up earlier than they do, and do it in the morning.
Some of the exercises are difficult at first, but they'll become easier the more you practice and the larger range of motion you gain from exercising.

I'm digiscrappy, and I'm a 30-something mom-of-4 from Northern Virginia. I'm not really new to SparkPeople, but this is my first time taking it really seriously (I even consulted a medical professional), and I've recently reset my goals. For now, I'm shooting for 140 pounds, but my ultimate goal is ~125 pounds.
I've had my Wii Fit for about 2.5 weeks and love using it, although I need to work on my consistency (I have to fight my kids for use of the tv/Wii).
For now, I've been sticking with Yoga, Aerobics, and Balance Games... I admit, I'm a weakling, and have trouble with the Strength exercises. (I cannot even do a "girl" push up, my arms are so weak.)
I'm about 1/3 of my way to my goal (140 pounds), although I'm finding that my weight just seems to fluctuate back and forth within a few pounds. Up, down, up, down... without really being able to explain it.
I'd love some suggestions, if anyone has them, for how I can build up to being ready for the strength training. Hand weights during aerobics, maybe?
