Hello and welcome. I have been on SP for over a year now, and I find that I am "slipping" a bit. I think that the issues are a bit deeper now than just weight and diet and exercise. I do believe that this site will help me to work through some of these issues as well. I think that my not taking care of my body was a subconcious way of not honoring myself and who I am really am. I struggle with self-acceptance, and I believe that as I continue to work on this I will find successes in many areas of my life. I think that works for all of us.

Well, I promised myself to dive in and write something and make myself more open to the struggle. I have always been a keep to myself kind of person that from time to time can put on the party hat and be the center of attention. Partly because that is all I do at work is to be that guy out front giving direction and partly because of the stigma of being that guy that is large, I am talking large. My goals are simple. Lose weight and break away from living behind locked doors, realistic and metaphorically. So I am here, don't know what to write as yet as I kind of have some anxieties to work through about giving out too much information on myself.
