Hello and welcome. I have been on SP for over a year now, and I find that I am "slipping" a bit. I think that the issues are a bit deeper now than just weight and diet and exercise. I do believe that this site will help me to work through some of these issues as well. I think that my not taking care of my body was a subconcious way of not honoring myself and who I am really am. I struggle with self-acceptance, and I believe that as I continue to work on this I will find successes in many areas of my life. I think that works for all of us.

Maybe you could use that good ol' 'kick-in-the-but' to get yourself going..We're all here to give those( As needed, only)!
You said that you are in need of achieving some goals other than your weight issue..getting out from behind closed doors, hmm..Maybe you could start with just getting out to your mailbox..that walk, even if very difficult, can even be used as exercise if that's all you can do!
I will add you as a friend and hope to motivate you!!
I am looking forward, as all your newemoticon's do, to sharing in our journeys!

Well, I promised myself to dive in and write something and make myself more open to the struggle. I have always been a keep to myself kind of person that from time to time can put on the party hat and be the center of attention. Partly because that is all I do at work is to be that guy out front giving direction and partly because of the stigma of being that guy that is large, I am talking large.
My goals are simple. Lose weight and break away from living behind locked doors, realistic and metaphorically. So I am here, don't know what to write as yet as I kind of have some anxieties to work through about giving out too much information on myself.
