I also understand: I did a program for my Tops chapter about a year ago, titled. "Sabotage the saboteur". My main point was that our worst saboteurs are ourselves! I am sooo guilty of sabotaging my self back into where I have been. I lost 80lbs, gained back 20 and am doing my best not to sabotage myself even further. One of my best keep myself straight tools is using the trackers here on Spark. If I lie to myself it is one thing-if I lie to myself in my trackers? Not a good scene! Then I am trying to fool a fool and I want to be a smart person and not one of a fool! I can talk the talk-will I be able to walk the walk? That remains to be seen: I have some poundage to lose!! Yes I can also relate. Fear of success. Being accountable for my behaviour once I have accomplished my task. Yes that new lifestyle make you accountable for new behaviors !!!
Right now I an looking at after preparing and using foresight to stop some of the sabotaging what do I do next. When I am in the moment and I just don't want to listen to myself!! What I did do when I felt this intense hunger was carrots then strawberries then trailmix. All eaten with water.
Changing my life one day at a time from the inside out. Remembering the basics, to set goals, plan,implement, then revise. The journey will be hard and easy but remember to HAVE FUN!!!

Hi and welcome. I can relate to the sabotaging thing. Still not completely sure why I do it. It seems the closer I get to a goal, the more likely I am to do something to mess it up. I might start to journal about that one. You can do this though. We all have that power within us. And yes, it is simply what you eat and how much you move. Hi all I have just signed up to the site and it looks great and look forward to trying the old fashioned calorie counting and exercise method of controlling my weight I am about 180 and 5'6 and need to drop about 2 / 3 stone. Would like to have this done by May next year when my brother gets married in Cyprus and I am a bridesmaid (eek).
I want to be healthy and have a strong body not just a stick insect so once I drop a few pounds via cardio I will add weights to tone up and get in shape
