As you just said: "take baby steps"! I am famous for telling myself and others, that weight loss takes "many baby steps and bunny hops"!! There is no reason for you to not be a successful loser- over-whelming site and all! Don't forget: remember to focus on one thing at a time!

Hi there and welcome. Spark People is huge! Maybe you need to narrow your focus as you get started. I would suggest you make your Spark page first. It helped me feel ownership and get in touch with my goals etc. Or just use the tracker. Just do one thing until you are comfortable, then add one more thing. You can do this. the site will help you tremendously. Let me know how it goes!

Hello everyone, my name is Jo and I am overwhelmed by the amount of useful information in SparkPeople. I joined several weeks ago and I did not come back until today. I really need to lose weight and I feel that this website can help me. I have ADHD and I'm aware that it will be a struggle for me to be consistent but I'll do my best.
