Hi and welcome to SP and to the team. You are in the right place. Good for you for choosing to lose your weight slowly. You can do this.

I set my timer for 5 minutes or 10 minutes. Telling myself I can do anything for 5 (10) minutes. It works for me!.. Or I make a list in the morning of what I am going to get done- exercises, tracking, vacuuming whatever. It's like a comittement. Then I send the list to a Spark friend. In the evening I send the list back to her with DONE next to the ones I did. That works for me too- accountability

Hello everyone! Im new to this, trying to figure out where to start! Finally deciding its time to do this for ME! My goal is to lose 20lbs over the next 6-8 months.... Need to figure out a balance with excercise and 4 kids (one of them being a newborn). Its hard to break out of the routine Ive been in for the last several years... Need to kick the laziness and get my butt moving!

I know what I NEED to do, its just a matter of finding the will power to do it LONG TERM! I want this to be a life style change, not just a "diet". What do you do for motivation?
