Welcome to the team. Glad to have you here challenging your self every day turns into a good habit. When I first started I thought how will I be able to exercise every day. Well, I figured out that I have approximately 16 waking hours a day. How could I not find time........since than I do find the time even if it ends up to be during commercials on my favorite TV programs. Best of luck to you an your journey to a healthier lifestyle.

Thank you so much for the supportive words ladies! I'm going to make a concious effort to stick with the 5 Minute Daily Challenges. If I can't find 5 minutes I think I need to reconsider my schedule! I'll keep in touch!
Welcome everyone! You may need to turn it up a little more on your exercising. Your body may have come accustom to what you are doing in regards to exercise. May you can do your 5- minute workout 3 or 4 times a day (If you have time). Good luck in your weight loss journey. Both of you are doing a great job!
Hello back at ya!!!! Good job thru the holidays...no easy accomplishment! This 5 min exercise is a great place to be. I love it. I don't like exercise so these little spurts/challenges I belong to are just my speed right now (hoping, of course, that that changes some day) I have been doing low carb also. I lost 17 pounds then I have been sitting at this weight for about a month. Delighted I'm not gaining but.... Patience everyone says but, I, like u, feel myself wavering. nononononono!!!!

I joined a couple months ago, but didn't visit often. I'm not sure why. I think I needed to be in the right place emotionally before I could jump in with both feet. Or is that just another excuse? November 30 I started doing the South Beach eating plan. I lost 11 pounds in the first 2 weeks. Several friends commented on my starting a "diet" right before the holiday season, but I thought it was the perfect time. If I could make it through the holidays than I should be able to do it for the long haul. I was able to maintain the 11 pound weight loss through the holidays! I did have "bad" days (I was down 13 at one point), but overall I maintained so for me it was a success. Now at the 6 week mark I am still at the same 11 pound weight loss. :( This last week I feel like my bad eating habits are returning. I'm trying so hard not to give in and get back to the strong emotional place that I was at on Nov 30 when I first started. I'd like to loose a total of 30 pounds so I still have over 1/2 way to go. I'm short (5' 2") so the 11 pounds weight loss isn't all that noticeable. My clothes feel different, but no one has said anything to me about looking thinner. I don't want to get so discouraged that I throw in the towel. It's way too easy to get discouraged and I don't want to go there. I decided to finally log back into SparkPeople to get (and give) the support that I so desperately need right now.
