I am new to the team - I found it by asking a question about Joyce Vedral Workouts - can anyone tell me how you find out Calories burned from a workout? I enjoy the Weight Training Made Easier Workout and have used it off and on for several years. Today is day #1 at this routine once again and with SP help, I will keep at the routine!

Hi!! Team I am glad I find this team I am so excited about doing Joyce Vedrals dvd's I am so needed to lose an 100 pounds for knee replacement surgery I had order her 6 DVD's package deal Sexy Summer Quick Start I started on the challenge she suggested on her website with using each one of her dvd's each day for 6 days out of the week for 2 weeks I been doing it now for 4 days I have already lose some inches I may not can do all of her exercises because of my bad knees but I can do most of them and I feel great.emoticon

Hi, I'm Snow! I've been on Spark for years and have lost and regained 80 pounds. I have PCOS and I'm fighting my way back down again. I used JV Fat Burning Workout to quickly lose in the past after my pregnancies. I have 4 more pounds to lose then I'm going to ramp up my exercise program and do mostly JVs programs and a little cardio. I'm thinking of trying the Bottoms Up workout this time. I have the book. I have also done the Definition and the Swim Suit Workouts. The Definition was my favorite. I thought I would do the Bottoms Up for as long as I could stand it and then switch back to Definition.

I'm sorry I disappeared for a few weeks.

Right after I joined and introduced myself, I volunteered to be a chaperone for my son's ice skating outing (high school group).

After two hours of skating, I unfortunately tripped, and broke several ribs.

It's been a rough few weeks, but over the holiday weekend I turned a corner and the pain is much more manageable now.

I need to start using my dumbbells and strengthening my bones!

I bought Joyce's Complete Bone-Building Body Shaping Workout DVD as well as the book with the same title.

I've purchased that book about three times in the past ten years! I start strong, fall off and then give it to someone wanting to start a workout program.

I'm originally from Long Island so I enjoy the way Joyce communicates. She's real, direct and says what she means.

I need to start small and be faithful.

Yesterday I got my house up-to-speed and all caught up with things that fell behind while I was in so much pain. Now I need to get my eating under control and get back to some exercising.

Have you found a calcium supplement that doesn't upset your stomach? I'm having a hard time finding one that I'll take.

I'm pretty good at buying calcium supplements. Taking them? Not so much!

Welcome to the group! I love Joyce, and swear by her workouts. I went through menopause over 10 years ago due to medical issues. I started doing Joyce's "weight Training made easy" workout, and a few years after I started doing the workout I had a bone density test done. This was about 7 years AFTER I went through menopause and had a hysterectomy. (same year). I have not taken a single hormone pill ever.... And the doctor was amazed to report that my bone density equaled that of a 23 year old.

so I am thrilled to see you get started. Don't worry about it, just keep going, you'll be amazed at how great you feel!!!!

Hello! I'm Elisabeth (eGrace5) and used SparkPeople about 10 years ago to lose ten pounds. I felt great!

I'm back as I can't seem to get the scale to budge. I'm 46 and fully menopausal which I think has really changed my body chemistry.

I'm also borderline osteoporosis and need to get serious about strengthening my bones. A few weeks ago my husband gave me a hug and it broke one of my ribs!

I really need to faithfully exercise 5 or 6 times a week -- walking and using dumbbells/weights for the sake of my bones. I'd be thrilled if I took off a few pounds, too.

Being a native Long Islander, Joyce's Bronx accent makes me fee right at home!

How was the Bottoms Up workout? Have you switched to something else yet? Bottoms Up is one of the workouts I've never done, so I'm interested in what you think.

Hi! I'm rejoining the team under a new user name. I love Joyce! When I get back from vacation, I'm going to start doing Bottoms Up Gold and see what kind of results I get. I'm very inconsistent, but my goal is to stick with it for 4 weeks and then change it up again.
