Welcome again Amy, we are glad you decided to join us. You are free to post what workout you are doing. You may do it in the challenges thread or you may open a new one, feel free to give suggestions, advise or any comments.
I am actually doing Quick Quartet and cardio (for cardio I found Fit for Duty, an exercise segment early in the morning. I get bored frequently with the same DVD's that is why I keep changing them constantly. Welcome again, and again. emoticon

Greetings! My name is Amy and I am 46 years old and I have been using Joyce Vedral's workouts on and off for about 15 years now (more off than on!) How do you track your Joyce workouts on SparkPeople? It seems tedious to enter all the exercises for each workout, and I was wondering if it was worthwhile to do. I was hoping that someone has already done this, but it only makes sense if we can share workouts with each other.

Hello Yolita!
I have not started to workout with the DVD's yet. I just got them so I watched a little bit of one today before heading out to work. The one I have is called Bone Building and Body Shaping workout.
I bought one of her books a long time ago and still have it but have not done the workout in a long time. I am going back to basics.
Thanks for the warm welcome!

hello everyone!
my name is Olga and I just signed up for this team. I am really excited to get started on this program. I ordered Joyce's vidio from Amazon and I just got it yesterday.
My goal is to take her up on her 10 week challenge and see if I CAN be two sizes smaller in just ten weeks.
I look forward to meeting you all and working out and reaching our goals together!

this is the start of something great

I am relly sorry to hear about your health. I recently had a sonogram and they found who knows what. Now I have to find an endocrinologist to check on my tyroid.
I lost some inches and weight with Joyce's book a few years ago. You know the rest of the story. Then I decided to start all over again last year, I have been able to loose more inches than weight but it has not discouraged me. At the end of 2008 I stopped for about two weeks and a half and got a few pounds back. Now I am working hard to get back on track. I have several of JV dvds and I love her routines, I keep rotating them because I get bored really easy if I go week after week with the same routine. I eat healthy most of the time and drink plenty of water. Well, you see we have something in common. I hope you keep on going and that you will be able to reach your goal!!! emoticon

Hi everyone - My name is Julee Davis, I'm from Tucson. I'm in my 40s.

In my 20s & early 30s, I worked out at the gym alot and was very muscular. Back then, I had a couple of Joyce's books and used them - didn't take them to the gym with me, but did use many of the exercises from the books at the gym.

My undiagnosed disease got worse after I had our children and my body declined for over 10 years - no matter how hard I worked out and dieted, I would gain weight every year. My Thyroid was finally diagnosed in '05, I was finally euthyroid by Feb of 08 and I hit the weights. I got out my Joyce books and subsequently found her website and DVDs. I have
Bottoms Up Gold Plus, Speedy Non-Stop, Top Shape,
Fast Forward, Just Abs and a few others. I've pre-ordered the Cougar Workout - it got a decent review from Dr. Beth on Amazon.com.

I worked out faithfully starting in February - I lost over 20 lbs and 11 inches off my hips. In late August, I had a Mammo scare. At the same time we were getting some work done on the house and by the time the workmen were out of the house, I pretty much collapsed. Did cardio and light weights, but not much else and not on my previously rigorous schedule. I basically blew the last quarter of 08 and put a few of my pounds back on.

So, here I am re-committing to myself to get in shape and get some weight off.

My plan is to try and get a JV boot camp going and am hoping to start tomorrow!

Wow - how's that for a book? emoticon

I am not new here, but I am originally from Guatemala, and living in Maryland. English is not my mother language either (you had noticed it already) but I do my best on both languages. I hope that everyone will respond to this post and get to know better. This friendship will help us to get connected and cheer each other up. emoticon
