I loved that feeling of running the first mile, and then getting to a second mile, and finally realizing that you are only limited by your own mind. Congratulations on taking the first steps, and having a great cross-training in place.

Hi I'm new to this group, but not new to SP or to running. I don't run really far or everyday, but over my weight loss journey I went from only walking (lost my first 25 lbs or so) to adding in a few mins of jogging to being able to run a full mile straight. I am currently running/walking 2 days a week with another 2 days of zumba classes for my weekly workouts. I just started up again so I'll probably add in a 3rd day of walk/run but that probably won't be until after I'm back in the habit of consistent work outs again. I want to eventually see my run/walk days to be mostly if not all running. I typically go for 2-3 miles with half of it running and half of it walking, and it will be a great day when I can run 2 miles straight and an even happier day when I can run 3 miles straight!
