Great story, and welcome to our team!
Hi all. I used to run 15-20 years ago but had to stop because my feet went bad. Fast forward to 2012 and a bunionectomy on each foot. I worked up to running 2 miles 3 times a week, 6 weeks ago. After such a long time away from it, it's been awesome and I am amazed at the wonders of modern medicine. My feet aren't perfect, but I can run again and that makes my heart happy! I ran a 5K today and clocked in at 37:08. Not bad for the aging lady with "new" feet! I kept my race number and wrote the date and my time on it. I am going to hang it on the wall and the next race is to beat this time, and so on race after race.
It wasn't an easy or pretty run, but it was just SO much fun anyway! thanks for letting me share my story!
