Awesome job and welcome to the group! Glad you found us now. You're doing awesome! I alternate running and walking using the Jeff Galloway method, which promotes running/walking even for seasoned and long distance runners. So nothing wrong with that!
Hello everyone; I wish that I had found this group before, but better late than never :) I gave up smoking in January; started going to Curves; and training in February for my first 5K. I "ran" it this past weekend in Smithville TX. It was a 5K with obstacles :) I did complete the run and all of the obstacles which was my goal. I was not the fastest chick in the race but I wasn't the slowest either. I alternated running and walking but I did it. Now just want to be able to control my breathing more...... Anyway glad to be here
