Hi Veronica and Coach Nancy and all the other rookie Running group members!
I was on Sparkpeople years ago, loved it and all the site had to offer!
I've run a bunch of 5k and 10k races, a few 10 milers and 4 half marathons.... Why did I stop? Life? Work? Etc.. No more excuses, cuz that's all they are, excuses. And oh how I have missed running! So this past week I have been watching and tracking everything I eat and tomorrow morning, I'm lacing up my shoes and getting back out into the groove! Gotta start slow tho, walking/running intervals (more walking than running will occur, I'm sure) but I'm starting none the less!
I'm glad to be a part of the team again, this time, I'm not going anywhere! :)

Hi I am Veronica. I am getting back into running after many years. I have been doing the C25K on the treadmill. I am on week 5 and will run for 20 mins. tomorrow and I am kind of nervous. I am hoping to run my first 5K in April.
I am excited to be a member of this team. I look forward to getting to know everyone and learning more about running. My first go round was during Basic Training in 1995. I loved running then but never kept up with it once I left the Army Reserves. This time I want to learn the basics and do it right so that I don't injure myself.
