Thanks, everyone! I had read that this group was quite responsive, so your comments make me feel better. I am actually going to go do my 5K training run soon, now that the meeting I am at in Montreal is done for the day. As great as this city is, I am going to stay on the treadmill and run, since I haven't run a inabout a week, yikes. As I told a friend, I don't care how long it takes, I will finish, then I can get my SparkTrophy for finishing the 5K Walk/Jog program, woo hoo! Wish me luck...

Hi everyone,
I just joined this group today, and I learned some new things already - what "Waddle On" means, since one of my co-workers has that on her car, and the name John Bingham, whom I have never heard of but will check out. I would imagine he is similar to Jeff Galloway and Hal Higdon. Anyways, I am almost done with the SP 5 Week 5K Walk/Jog except for the final 5K run because I pulled a hamstring and hip flexor. However, I plan to walk some on my work trip that I am leaving for in 3 hours and get the 5K last run next week. I walked, did not run, a 5K in 38 minutes 3 years ago, but now I am slower to around 15 min/mile walking/running. I know it will take time, but it's frustrating. Plus, my knees ache more than usual, but I am going to get through this. I have always wanted to be a runner, and I will be one. : ) Have a great weekend.
